Agree with everything you said except for the media scrum part. This was the weirdest one because Punk came out shooting. Swerve, Lee and Storm was doing a worked-shoot thing most of the time. Jericho was completely out of character and Tony was that guy screaming “everything is ok” as his company is burning down. Usually they are ok when everyone is mostly of out character answering questions. Even Toni Storm was out of pocket when she said that whenever Rosa says “she’s not injured she can fight her”. Is she shooting that Rosa lost her smile or is Toni heeling her? Don’t know because AEW flip flops people like they are the Big Show.

It’ll be interesting to see who Tony prioritizes more for Grand Slam. The guy who draws ratings and their top champion, Punk or his day 1 buddies and essentially the foundation of his company, the Elite. I would say give everyone a 30 day suspension but you’ll need at least Punk for Grandslam and to not ruin MJF’s storyline. The Elite can disappear and life would go on.

All I know, Chris Daniels isn’t working out for talent relations. They need someone who has not wrestled in AEW so at least there should be some neutrality. With the way the world is going, they will be hiring Jeff Jarret for a position by the end of the year lol

On recent Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided some background when it came to Punk’s beef with Adam Page. It turns out that Hangman did an interview a few months ago, and he didn’t answer a question in a way that Punk appreciated.

When somebody brought up a question, ”What have you learned from CM Punk and Sting?” And he kinda didn’t have a good answer. He did sorta say ‘I’d listen if they said something.’ but he also said ”I kinda go on my own and learn by trial and error from my own stuff.” And Punk was offended by that and brought it up like ”This guy is a know-it-all.” I just thought that that Page was thrown a question and sheepishly answered it and Punk got mad cause his name was brought up. Punk’s got a lot of experience and knows a lot of stuff, you can learn from him if you want to.
