I don't think anyone in charge of the WWE wants to have anything to do with Punk. Vince was the only one who would've eventually let bygones be bygones. JeriKKKhos behavior shows that a few ex WWE people were counting on that eventual WWE return. :russ:
I don't think they want to deal with Punk either. The only reason I could see him getting a legends deal one day is because he could still move a few action figures, t-shirts, and could be a character in WWE 2K29. Also, Nick Khan could use Punk as a way to get AJ Lee back under the WWE merch umbrella.
If they can deal with Lanny Poffo, they can deal with Punk.
I 99.9% doubt that we will ever see CM Punk back in a WWE ring, though.

Why not? Just because you have foot in the door. It doesn't mean they accomplished anything yet and start trying to call shots. It doesn't mean you're a Stone Cold, Rock, Cena, or etc in this business selling out 80K venue or 60k global venues. Just like Kingston and Page are the 2nd best wrestlers to ever have their names. You can't be thinking you're hot shyt unless you're full of shyt. Got to be humble and hungry not arrogant, entitled, and complacent.

AEW has caught up so much ground in the WWE, but they are getting to the pressure cook phase for accelerating so fast. They aren't good enough. They gotta keep breaking through to be true competition. People that feel like they built AEW are gonna hamper progress when AEW has to continue to bring in better, more marketable talent. Either get better or make yourself expendable. Misfits don't turn an Indy+ wrestling company into a global empire.

So, Just do business the right way. When has Punk ever gave less than 100% in program or match in his return?

So why are they beefing with Punk? He's not pulling Hogan shyt. Eddie and MJF did serious personal digs at him in promos and Punk didn't call them out... Hmmmmm... I wonder why.

He had 5 programs so far.

Darby
Eddie
MJF
Page
Mox

All quality programs that where unique and he didn't bury a single dude. Legitimately great program. They was able to get Punk and Mox off the ground in a matter of three weeks.

The only thing different that I see is that the Evps are buddy buddy with Page.

I tend to be a devil advocate guy, but the more I look at it... Page, Kenny, and Young Bucks being some lame ass Kliq crybabies. Punk just being an emotional honest prick when he's supposed to be the face of the company and smile.

CM Punk was always a petty "No fukk's Given" dude with a hot mic and he called them out on their shyt trying to torpedo his Babyface run. Which is honestly what seems to irritate him the most.

What does "do business the right way" even mean? AEW was getting 1.2 million viewers before All Out 2021 just based on the Omega/Hangman storyline that was front and center at the time. They were clearly doing something right because their audience jumped from 700k to 1.2 million over a course of 6 months. What you're saying is like if Hogan came back to the WWF in 1997 and started telling Austin & The Rock how to get over with pre-NWO bullshyt because it worked in the 80's/early 90's. What AEW was doing before these guys showed up was working. They doubled their audience and were gaining traction. Now that momentum is halted because Tony Khan has to shoehorn in a million guys into 3 hours of television every week otherwise egos/feelings are getting hurt.

Regarding Punk's feuds, where did Darby, Eddie, MJF and Page go post their feud with Punk? Darby moved down and hasn't been in a substantial feud until this House of Black program he's in with Miro. Eddie moved on to feud with Jericho, and he ultimately lost the feud and is in no program now. MJF, we all know what happened. Hangman has basically disappeared for the last 3 months. Yet, all 4 of these guys are insanely over whenever they do appear on AEW television.

I’m hoping it was a family member or some off duty cop who called the police…..cuz if a member of The Elite called the police…..they rep is DONE. Imagine Disco Inferno callin da police on Arn Anderson after he slapped him.

:russ:

I'm thinking it was AEW or venue staff that called the police. If the Bucks or Omega called the police and/or press charges they will be the laughing stock of wrestling.

TK needs to pick a side and whatever he does people are going to be pissed off. This is what happens when the boss has no control over the company. Hopefully he learns from this and gets the backstage shyt fixed

Punk has to be suspended either for real (if all of this is shoot) or in kayfabe (if this is a work) since it's widely known news on the IWC that Eddie Kingston got suspended for real two weeks for slapping Sammy Guevara.

But let's just go with this is all a shoot...

If you don't give Punk a bigger suspension than Eddie got, then that is going to be severely problematic. Rather real or kayfabe, no way to justify not bringing the hammer down on him and expect to have any credibility whatsoever as a leader of the company.

Punk is going to have to have a short leash on his promos. He still needs the creative freedom he has on the mic, but he needs to be told that there is a zero tolerance policy for him shooting. He took the freedom he was granted and completely abused it, you have to check him on that.

Ace Steel has to be fired. He's a coach/producer. He's expendable.

Omega and the Bucks should be stripped of their EVP positions. If they are leaking fake news then that is 100% unacceptable for an EVP. Even if they are only leaking real news it shouldn't be happening. And if what I read is true that they stormed Punk's locker room, they should be suspended too.

They need to just eliminate this post-PPV media scrum stuff entirely. Tony comes off terribly in every single one of them and everything about this last one is beyond the pale.

Tony Khan needs to hire someone that's going to start checking the talent in the locker room. Doesn't seem like the locker room has any respect for him and there appears to be a void of leadership amongst the talent.

Agree with everything you said except for the media scrum part. This was the weirdest one because Punk came out shooting. Swerve, Lee and Storm was doing a worked-shoot thing most of the time. Jericho was completely out of character and Tony was that guy screaming “everything is ok” as his company is burning down. Usually they are ok when everyone is mostly of out character answering questions. Even Toni Storm was out of pocket when she said that whenever Rosa says “she’s not injured she can fight her”. Is she shooting that Rosa lost her smile or is Toni heeling her? Don’t know because AEW flip flops people like they are the Big Show.

It’ll be interesting to see who Tony prioritizes more for Grand Slam. The guy who draws ratings and their top champion, Punk or his day 1 buddies and essentially the foundation of his company, the Elite. I would say give everyone a 30 day suspension but you’ll need at least Punk for Grandslam and to not ruin MJF’s storyline. The Elite can disappear and life would go on.

All I know, Chris Daniels isn’t working out for talent relations. They need someone who has not wrestled in AEW so at least there should be some neutrality. With the way the world is going, they will be hiring Jeff Jarret for a position by the end of the year lol

Everyone woman in that locker hates Thunder Rosa. It would not surprise me if her contract isn’t renewed.

This would be a good hire imo. he's had every role as an active wrestler and as office. People don't respect the Bucks and Omega the way you need to in their roles. Jericho could do it but he's an active wrestler.
