So WWE can get every TNA and ROH reject under the sun and nobody bats an eye but AEW gets a few guys who left WWE just to go to AEW and it’s a problem? I’m still not getting this “AEW is getting too many WWE guys” thing, who do you want them to sign?

I honestly don’t know how you can have the mindset that the TNT belt is a trash title. It’s the second main belt and it’s been held by strong talent.

If they hot shotted Miro to the AEW World Title picture these nikkas would be like “look at AEW depending on WWE guys to get a ratings pop ”

Seriously these cats gotta give AEW some time, yeah it’s not perfect but it’s only their 3rd year in existence, WCW didn’t hit it’s peak right off the bat, TNA was a jumbled up mess during the Asylum days but then they eventually hit their peak years later.

Dynamite stopped being something I watched regularly months ago, but I didn’t find any one episode as bad as some episodes of RAW or SD at their worst. There’s many faults I have with AEW and I don’t like the fact that many people seem to act like they’re above criticism or reproach (not necessarily applicable to this board but other sites mostly) but I wouldn’t flat out call them bad.

I want AEW to succeed and be a legit threat to WWE, my biggest issue with it is the people making the decisions dont seem to want to truly expand out of the cult following of wrestling purists/nerds and attract more casual fans and a more diverse audience beyond the middle aged white male. Say what you want about WWE's history and mistreatment of black wrestlers im not arguing that but it shouldn't be a free pass for AEW. I don't see anything consistently on Dynamite that I can personally gravitate towards like a Street Profits or New Day or Bianca or Sasha or even Usos. AEW has acts with that potential but they're either jobbing them out on Dark, not utilizing them right or grouping them with total opposites(ala Private Party with Matt Hardy or Jade with that Mark cac). The closest thing they have to youth/urban culture is The Acclaimed and those dudes are extremely corny. Van Jones with a vert aka Scorpio Sky is not that guy either.

Also at some point The Elite(sans Hangman) cant always be at the forefront. They did their parts in helping lay the groundwork for the company but the need for them to carry has long passed and AEW has people more over and ready to hold the torch.

Yeah, I know he's the TNT champ. That's the equivalent to WCW TV champion title...held by guys like Jim Duggan. And maybe the equivalent to the defunct European champ in WWF.

I mean, he should be in the world title picture. I get the Orange Cassidy thing, but he shouldn't be in world title matches.

They only have two men's single titles, the world title and the tnt title. It's basically the equivalent of the intercontinental title.

I never expected or wanted AEW to be a legit competitor to WWE. The last real competitor was WCW and they've been dead for over twenty years. Everyone else is just an alternative.

I've soured on AEW since their debut in 2019 but they do put out a enjoyably product consistently compared to WWE.

Tony Khan gotta hire some old vets n create a booking team. His booking sucks. Like for instance, Team Taz on paper should be destroying ppl left n right. Hangman Page would be a main event guy in ANY promotion, instead they got driving lawnmowers taking Dark Order out for ice cream. FTR, Santana & Ortiz, and Private Party are JOKES now. MICHAEL NAKAZAWA gets more tv time than Powerhouse Hobbs. It’s just STUPID.

Yeah the booking with those guys is ridiculous. Private Party should be higher up in the tag team scene instead of being with Matt Hardy. Santana & Ortiz need to be out of the Inner Circle and doing their own thing. The Inner Circle should have lost and broken up. Team Taz is a damn joke. Two big ass dudes like Hobbs and Cage shouldn't be shook of a 60 year old Sting. In fact now that I think about it, when is the last time they got any significant wins? WTF are they doing with Ricky Starks?! Dude is super talented and is being wasted. Him and Darby got real potential to be stars and eventually be on top of the card feuding over the world title.

I think they're saving Page vs Omega for next year or late this year. Page is definitely a star but needs to get as far away as possible from the Dark Order.

AEW just doesn't feel very inviting for someone who isn't in tune with their brand of wrestling. It feels like a show for wrasslin' nerds by wrasslin' nerds, and that isn't a bad thing, but at some point you do have to make the product more accessible.

Maybe that's a thing that comes more with time as they grow and expand, who knows

Booking since December has been way too close to Raw for my liking. Why the fukk would a Red Velvet vs Bunny match need outside interference? I find triple threat matches to be trash in general, and a throwaway. When a company presents a multi man match to main event a ppv, I’ve always considered that ppv skippable because they aren’t trying (see next week Takeover). I’m not going to put forth more effort than the company itself. Cody won the big match against QT and Ogogo, wrap that shyt up. Same with Inner Circle and Pinnacle, they started with the two big matches, I don’t trust their ability to keep it interesting for 3 more months. Cody should go on paternity and Jericho should just go on tour for the summer. Let new guys shine and they come back ready.
