Considering they've only done one international PPV/TV special outside of the two All Ins at Wembley, this isn't particularly surprising. They haven't even done a random named Dynamite in Canada.

I suppose you can throw Battle of the Belts in there and make it two, but it was the 7th episode and was done in Canada. By that point people were well aware it was pointless.

Speaking with Fightful via Deej of DownUnderTheRing, Tony Khan said that as things stand, AEW Grand Slam looks to be the biggest international gate that AEW has ever done outside of the company's Wembley Stadium shows. He also called it one of AEW's highest gates of all time.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door took place in Toronto in 2023, and 20 other dates in Canada since the company opened. The company also held an event in Cardiff last year.
