AEW DYNAMITE MOVING TO TBS IN 2022, NEW SHOW "RAMPAGE" STARTS AUGUST 13

We are talking about the NBA though and that was nearly 20 years ago. There’s no way in hell now that the NBA would let TNT air their games on TBS.

It’s an entire different cable and TV landscape now than it was back then.

It’s because they’re other cable deal is with ESPN

previously they had tnt and tbs for cable

This move seems like the most “ok cool” move ever.

Doesn’t seem big enough where it needs to be overly celebrated (other than getting a new show) but also doesn’t need to be clowned and hated on

I’m speaking of right now and not what happened years ago. Do you actually think that the NBA would be cool with TNT moving their games to TBS while moving something else into their time slot? The answer is no because the sporting leagues have more leverage than wrestling when it comes to ratings and revenue.

I have no emotions for either company to hate on one more than the other. TBS isn’t viewed in the same prestige as TNT right now or else they’d be the network getting live sports.

It’s not hating, but the truth. It’s also not hating to say that wrestling isn’t on the level of traditional sports where they have the cache to say no to moving channels or stations like that. Again that’s not hating or trolling, but the truth.

Also.... as a thought to entertain that, let’s just say TBS is a B channel.

Ok well I guess they have the chance to elevate it.

I remember when Spike was a C or D channel before they got wrestling. And now they not even D

Also what was USA when they had no wrestling? Cuz it definitely wasn’t an A channel

Sibling channels with similar content except when it comes to live sports. It’s still a winner for all Turner and all parties involved as the ratings will be higher than what they would show in those original time slots otherwise.

I hear you.... but remember MLB and NCAA bball (and now that I think about it I believe some NCAA Football) still airs on TBS.

Matter fact I see MLB just extended their contract with TBS to 2028

I think this will indeed be good for all.... though I am curious about the hockey thing. I didn’t really think hockey was still even that big in the states anymore
