Just looked it up (I never knew) ....they're saying it's ~800,000 difference. So all of this is potentially for about 50-100,000 more viewers on average?

I'm not mad at them expanding their range, I just don't see it being worth this press release or making it seem like it's a big deal

Yeah it's not significant but it is more. The move isn't a big deal but the 4 shows, compensation, and Friday show are.

It seems they got more money and a new show for their "troubles" of moving so it was a good business deal.

Can't wait for the retarded discussions that will happen though :mjlol:

That's exactly what it was. They threw AEW some incentives to move, so the optics wouldn't look like they are kicking AEW from their time slot in exchange for the NHL. That type of thing happens in the business world all the time to save face with all parties involved.

TBS is a dead channel that mainly only shows reruns, so they could afford to throw them an extra show as any ratings from it would be way better than what's being current generated.

TBS has produced some quality shows but it's like they never find their audience. American Dad, I loved People Of Earth and Final Space but it's like they treat most of their content as disposable like 4 new episodes of Tyler Perry would premier. Anyway, I don't know if moving to TBS is a good thing. I assume they carry over most of their fans.

:mjlol:

the marks a month ago: “bu bu but why would they ever move dynamite?! Look at the demos!!”

NXT runs a takeover on USA: “hahahahah they’re desperate for ratings!!” - the marks

AEW announced to run 4 ppv events on network tv: “it’s such a good look for the company!” - the marks

:heh:

I don't know. That's a question for the network executives.

They would tell you in the nicest possible that it's a demotion and the NHL will bring more viewers than AEW would.

The NHL or any sport will move a show from its original timeslot as it will bring in more ratings and revenue. That's no shot at AEW as even Smackdown would be forced to change days or channels if the Fox decided to move a sport to that timeslot.

I don't disagree. I'll watch on either channel just like most AEW fans will. I only watch TNT for NBA and AEW. Now I'll only watch TNT for NBA. If it had just been them making AEW move with no compensation then I'd be concerned but they actually got a good package out of it.
