Frist game dropped a day before 9/11
Days of Ruin released during the conflicts in the Middle East and the 3DS remake released when Isis was running wild.
Nintendo will more than likely retire the series once this game decides comes out.

I really don't see the point in delaying this game. I mean get that it's about war and with all the stuff going on now and all but this is kinda extra.

The main villains in AW1 are basically Russians.

Sucks for those that were looking forward to this (I've actually never played an AW), but I think it's in good taste to delay. Someone just posted in a discord that it has a lot of Russian tropes so it makes sense.

They’re just gonna Twitter announce the release date on a random day, release it a few weeks afterwards and bury the series for good.
