Them: "Can you text me the number?"




You: "Meet us at XYZ."
Them: "I don't know how to get there, can you pick me up?"




You: "Yeah you can get it at any [store name] around."
Them: "Do you know which one?"

I was going through this a few weeks ago with a coworker, he was hitting me up on Teams for every little thing, after about 2 weeks I realized this guy wasn't "the new guy who needs help" anymore, he's just slow and needs his hand held through everything. I stopped replying eventually, and one day told him straight up to "figure it out, it's right in front of you."

I'm talking about basic stuff, like documents that come with instructions, "(insert # here), (insert name here), (insert title here)"

And this fool was hitting me up for this nonsense. Wild stuff.

Most people do just Google things and handle things on their own. The result is reduced familiarity.
