It should be though. Beating a 4 year old the way he did is inexcusable.

It's another example of how this country kept running to the aid of women, but allow kids to get beat with tree branches, baseball bats, and bricks.

Glad it only took two pages for someone to speak logically. Am I seriously reading correctly that people think what he did was OK? Did yall see those pics? I'm all for kids getting they ass whipped under certain circumstances... but that shyt was child abuse, can't stand for that shyt.

and I agree. what he did was unacceptable but it's crazy how NOT breaking the law got him suspended for the full season. Prolly had more to do with how, although not breaking the law, he's misrepresenting the league and it's image and I get that. Can't argue against that
Its public law, the nfl can't risk losing a percentage of the population.

Goddamn Roger Goodell just shytted on him with that letter, holy shyt.

Straight shytted on him

Yeah, Roger hit him with that banhammer in his letter. The lack of remorse is what did Adrian in. That said, I still think the NFL is wrong here as far as collective bargaining and trying to win the PC battle.

Goodell bit:

“First, the injury was inflicted on a child who was only four years old. The difference in size and strength between you and the child is significant, and your actions clearly caused physical injury to the child," Goodell wrote. "While an adult may have a number of options when confronted with abuse – to flee, to fight back, or to seek help from law enforcement – none of those options is realistically available to a four-year old child. Further, the injury inflicted on your son includes the emotional and psychological trauma to a young child who suffers criminal physical abuse at the hands of his father.

“Second, the repetitive use of a switch in this instance is the functional equivalent of a weapon, particularly in the hands of someone with the strength of an accomplished professional athlete.

“Third, you have shown no meaningful remorse for your conduct. When indicted, you acknowledged what you did but said that you would not ‘eliminate whooping my kids’ and defended your conduct in numerous published text messages to the child’s mother. You also said that you felt ‘very confident with my actions because I know my intent.’ These comments raise the serious concern that you do not fully appreciate the seriousness of your conduct, or even worse, that you may feel free to engage in similar conduct in the future."

fukk NO.

This is not a kangaroo court. They're going against the specific language in the CBA.

They're basically winging it right now.

You nikkas better fukking wise up. NFLPA is the worst union in all of sports. Powerless, bytch made, and weak.

Nah, the nfl will win the battle. They can't have a player or owner enrage a large percentage of the public. It can potentially hurt the pockets of EVERYONE in the league and it's sponsors.

What is the NFLPA going to counter with? A line in the agreement?

While I agree that the NFLPA is weak, they had no chance here.

You simply can't continue to operate like normal. It will hurt everyone if people stayed mad at AP and Ray Rice while they are still making their millions.

Wow, this whole situation is fukked up right now. I'm not stating that what AD did was right but the league and the public has no right on dictating how a parent is suppose to discipline their kids. This issue is for the parents to decide, not the court of public opinion.
When you beat them the way he did? Yeah they do

Kids are not property
