The players put on the exempt list are told all of what you said before being placed on the commissioner's list players have the option to decline. AP probably needed that money for his lawyers right then and there and I guess he'd deal with whatever the NFL did later.

I used to get whooped. I got in fights as a kid. I fell down a big hill when I was 5 and had a LOT worse scrapes than that. Its really easy to scrape and break skin when you're that small.
