did you watch the hbo doc

i really do think Jay lied, no matter what lol. if he buried a body with him... it's a little different, but the way that story was orchestrated i'm almost certain is proven false by every timeline so he still lied. i think he even admitted to lying in the original tell all that came out at the end of 2014.

i don't think any charge will be put upon jay for perjury even now. dude clearly had a deal. he was an informant.
Yea, I watched the HBO series and listened to the podcast. It’s obvious he’s at best lying by omission but I didn’t get the impression it was to falsely incriminate Adnan. Just thought he was trying to minimize his role.

If the theory is that Jay was fed the location of the car and coached on a lavishly detailed (dubious at times) story… it’s shocking it stayed under wraps for this long. That not a single person buckled. What’s even stranger is Adnan’s ambivalence. I’d be fukking livid and wouldn’t shut up about it. None of this makes sense.

im rewatching the HBO show... on ep 2 now. forgot about jen's roomate, but jen seems very easily mislead and jay could be the only one who knew he was spinning shyt.

if jen's roommate just thought adnan was a weirdo and testified to that... idk. it wouldn't be the most absurd thing. jen's story really makes it sounds like a bunch of kids selling weed got bullied into doing shyt tho.

Similar!

But this was my walking from work podcast and often a relaxant. So I’m going to spin it up again now the days are folders and shorter.

I didn’t like the other series they did in ther weird village. But the ones on the local court cases was fascinating

This podcast reminds me of winter.

S Town was good because I do deliveries in a place just like that. It’s crazy the type of characters you meet, that have know clue what’s going on outside of their corner of the planet.

I loved the public defender series.

I really want them to another one.

I'm talking about this specific case, not general police/prosecutor fukkery. Who killed Hae if not Adnan? There's no serious alternative. Don? Bilal? Jay? I don't buy any of that shyt. Moreover, Adnan never seemed to really want to know who killed Hae, and that's damning. Constantly evasive in interviews. He did that shyt, I'm like 98% sure.

I'm talking about both. Even in this case, the cops and prosecutors didn't give Adnan's defense evidence that they had every right to receive. To your point, there was evidence of two other suspects, including one who threatened Hae's life and "had motive" per the filing. The state had this and didn't release it. I don't think Adnan did it, but the problem is the cops don't know either.

Listening to the follow up Serial Podcast and the states reasoning again only creates more questions. SK mentioned in the podcast a theory that both of the suspects possibly committing the crime together and them possibly knowing each other. One of them obviously being Mr. S, the other one has to be either someone in his circle that he knows and we haven't heard of or he has a connection with one of the current people that we know of.

The other possibility could be Ronald Lee Moore as he is the only other person that has been convicted of sexual assault along with Bilal, but you'd have to connect him to Hae and explain the threatening messages.

I guess I’ll listen to Undisclosed :comeon:. I figured it was going to be biased since ol girl was involved but maybe it’ll fill in some blanks. They also updated Serial today.

I listened to the podcast religiously and believe he did it simply based on the interviews that the podcaster did with him while he was in jail. He was so indifferent and cavalier it came across as sociopathic. I'd be hard pressed to believe a man completely innocent of murder and wrongfully imprisoned for 20 years would be so flippant.

Having said that.. enjoy your freedom nikka, because you damn sure going back after the next trial.
How much is an innocent man supposed to protest when all hope is lost? You've been sitting down nearly 2 decades for a crime you didn't commit and are serving a life sentence. He went to prison as a boy and by the time Serial was recorded he was a grown man and hardened inmate.

Everyone thought he was guilty, his own friends testified against him and his appeals were denied. How passionate did you want him to be??

Damn near everybody in that bytch would swear they were innocent so what would be the point in working yourself up and getting emotional with the podcast lady?

Everybody thinks they know how righteously they'd act under certain circumstances but if I was looking at spending the rest of my life in prison for a crime I didn't commit and with no hope of release I know for a fact I'd fold. I'd be the most glib, indifferent mf in there because what's the fukking point otherwise?

I’m a man of science and I am a forensic investigator and the fact that Adnan’s DNA was not identified from any of the samples including the pulled fingernail = he cannot be proven to be guilty.

I’m just watching the HBO special now. Terrible case from defence and prosecution from the beginning.
