Regardless of my feelings of the movies, on an actor vs actor level Phoenix was the better actor compared to Sandler. So, when it comes to best actor Phoenix>Sandler.

Joker is the same scene over and over again. Something bad happens to Arthur. Another bad thing happens to Arthur. Rinse repeat. Yawn. Plus they stripped away all the coolness that The Joker has in TDN, the animated series, the video games (shyt, EVEN the fukkin Jack Nicholson iteration is cooler) and made him a whiny lil bytch instead. Prolly why they cast Joaquin's overrated ass in the role.

I went into Uncut Gems thinking I would like it. I left loving it, I think it is one of the best movies I've seen in the last 5- 10 years. And Sandler is the main person carrying it although his supporting cast was good to.

Man all I'm going to say is that, again, regardless of the movie Phoenix acted his ass off. All Sandler did was yell throughout the whole movie. Not even mentioning Phoenix improvised a lot of his shyt. Also Uncut Gems was an inferior zoomer version of A Serious Man except in uncut gems all his misfortune was due to his own stupidity.
By the way, the Joker was based on The Killing Joke one of the GOAT comics. All that other stuff you mentioning isnt even related

To say that all Sandler did the whole movie is scream is disingenuous, he gave a more nuanced performance than that. And I don't even really like Sandler like that, most of his movies are trash lol. But I'll recognize any actor if they do good work and he did that in Gems.
Not really getting the comparison to A Serious Man besides both being Jewish as fukk. I do like A Serious Man a lot though.
As far as the other stuff I mentioned, how are they not related? They all feature versions of the same character. As far as The Killing Joke goes, I never read it but I did read the wiki synopsis earlier today. THAT's the Joker they shoulda made with Joker torturing Gordon. That sounds like the Joker I wanna see instead of this juggalo ass Hot Topic movie we got.
And I'll be fair here, Jaoquin has his moments (he does do tortured characters well), but I just don't find dude menacing and cool. The Joker gotta be both IMO.
