Other sources have since confirmed it. Basically he's extended til Summer Slam, Hunter will have to offer him the world, otherwise we all thought Punk would debut at All out but he's coming in earlier.
Bryan is debuting on Sept 22nd in NYC

No one wants Cole in AEW. I hope this story ain't true, or he just re-up with the E.
What other days could they do tho
They surely wouldn't try Sunday or Monday because of football, the occasional PPVs and RAW. They wouldn't want nxt taking up views again and aew dark or whatever its called.
They wouldn't try and take Thursday nights from Impact since they're partnered with them
And they clearly aren't fukking with smackdown
No one tryna watch wrestling on Saturday nights. And the occasional mma ppv

Friday is the only viable slot that they could put it as there's no where else to do so.

Ideally they start to make cuts. It's been so long since their inception, that they finally have a good mixture of talent and starpower. There are definitely some weak links that can be cut. And it will be a trickle down effect where all the major stars on the main show, then the lesser dudes on that 1 hour Rampage. Then all the cheap contract farm system prospects can work Dark and some of the Rampage talent can work the Darks too to help the rookies season.

Everyone wants Cole in AEW, his wife, his friends and even TK which is close to him. Imagine believing in that.
Yeah, like the Chuck and Trent, Spears, etc. all can goto Rampage or be cut/not renewed altogether. They were good starting pieces but they have many upgrades now.
You know all these people personally?
Cole is swagless and boring. Would rather have Bray over him any day. Punk and Danielson the only names I need to see added.

So hypothetically AEW would have Punk/Bryan/Cole/Bray/Andrade/Black/Miro/Cody/Jericho/PAC/Christian on top of their non WWE acts who are over like Omega/Darby/Page/MJF/Sammy/Bucks/Cassidy etc not even mentioning the rest of their roster and they're gonna have to fit into 3 hours of TV programming and im supposed to believe nobody will be the odd man out and everybody will be booked to perfection
Well, it's all upto opinion, but you can go on their website and pick whatever dudes are your favorite out, and have enough feuds for a 2 hour main show. Then pick what's left for the 1 hour secondary show. Then what you have left should be cheap prospects or indy vets for the Darks. And then they let go of some of the lackluster rookies and vets they have now. (And don't try to say everyone on that roster is worth keeping, because it's not true when you have some of the starpower and talent they have now, versus when they started)
And don't forget there will be injuries, and people will get stale or hot and rotate up and down from Dynamite and Rampage, so helps to keep everything fresh.

Well AEW definitely has multiple expendable wrestlers who could be released but they also pride themselves on not releasing talent especially during a pandemic because that would make them evil

This is the talk of a WWE fan's narrative. It's ok. It's entertainment. AEW fans are into the wrestling aspect of the business more so than the gimmicks and the promos.
The guy oozes charisma and has been over anywhere he's been.
