The main thing that I object to is the fact that the request, as stated, is nonsensical

The grand jury has already come back with no indictment. ..charges aren't be brought against the pigs whether Lebron sits or not...sad to say, that ship has passed...Lebron has the power to bring attention to the situation no doubt, but it'll do nothing for the stated goal...difference between this and the mizzou thing, is that the football team held real leverage towards the intended goal...pressuring the president of the University and ultimately forcing him to step down

I'm slandering them how?

This is silly. Why even focus on a basketball player :mjlol:

Its so childish. Is LBJ gonna run for office? Fix it so prosecutors can't run this grand jury bullshyt anymore?

I'm just :mindblown: to the whole situation
I agree...they're wrong in terms of isolating Bron.

It's been witnessed before. Once upon a time wehad athletes who cared about the community and their status with the people more than they cared about their "brand"

Actually, that would be a very dope social campaing for Bron to undertake. Use his old "We are all witnesses" tagline over a collage of photos of blacks unjustly murdered by law enforcement alongside a photo of him looking pensive or concerned. Would be powerful. Would also never, ever happen.

I'm sure Bron is more aware than he's letting on about Tamir Rice but, is either thinking about his brand/future or thinks that police shootings are a whole bigger issue than just him sititng out games. He maybe doesn't want to say that due to the shytstorm that would come his way saying that in my opinion :manny:.

There is no way in the world he doesn't have all the info one could want at his disposal. This is the same dude that didnt' hesitate to speak on Trayvon, Garner, or Sterling. I think people have it backwards. The fact that it is in his city is most likely what is making him take the soft route. It's much easier to speak on shyt from afar when the people and entities involved aren't right there in your face everyday. Wouldn't be surprised if local officials got in his ear and told him to fall back on this one. The shyt is too see-through.

Exactly. There's no end game in what they're asking. It would be best for them to ask Bron to speak on things going forward that are to be done.

That's nonsense.
How so? To be a activist which is what these people want to be you have to be willing to make the same sacrifice you're asking of other people.

I don't think LeBron should follow through with that bullshyt, but :dahell: you don't see the difference between LeBron power and a Mcdonald worker :dead:

I am making it sound like he addressed all those issues, in one way or another, on his own without being prompted. I don't recall him saying anything about this situation until right now. If I am wrong, please correct me.

I think it's time out for these acts of symbolism we engage in during injustice, I wouldn't be surprised if it's some white socialist behind the scenes driving some black activist to make this the big sign of activism they want to do for show.

If lebron sits, it does very little to change the injustice, and all it does is put lebron in a line of fire, that if he was to take a backlash which meant loss of endorsements and loss of salary, none of these activist would be able to compensate for lebron losses.

What should happen, is these brothers who are serious, should set up a independent review board on the police, with prosecutors and Lawyers thst we pay for, and encourage lebron to foot the bill for those lawyers. This way when a police officer does something like this we can immediately put not only the officer in question but the district in which he works, the dispatcher and forensic team can all be independently reviewed and if we find any foul play we have our own lawyers and our own d.a's to bring these people to court and if not prosecute them sue the pants off them til we break them. That is what we need to be encouraging lebron to do. Give us some resources so we can get some board members in place. Not some boycott that leads to nothing.

You can't set such a thing up without cooperation of the police. And they has shown historically that they are totally unwilling to permit independent review.
