A black boy was shot and killed in his home state, in the midst of a period when more and more of these murders are coming to light because of access to camera phones and social media. So yeah, LeBron pleading ignorance is very disappointing. That being said, I have no expectations of any athletes or entertainers saying or doing much of anything that their handlers and advisers worry will diminish their earning capabilities and their personal brands. We're living in depressing times, and our culture has pretty much abandoned our collective social conscience. Bron's in a lose-lose situation. All these athletes are. To some extent I do think they are cowardly, but the way things are set up, it just seems like people are morally impotent in general and black people have been destroyed by this society. I find myself simultaneously disgusted and sympathetic by so many black public figures.

Exactly this shyt is stupid. These fools asking one man to carry the cross. See in the 60s they asked everyone to carry the cross. If someone took a stand and was penalized everyone else would chip in and help them or their family out.

These fools now a day asking one kat to make all the sacrifices and ain't gonna do shyt to help out if the shyt blow up in folks faces.

Also during the civil rights movement regular folks were asked to sacrifice then once they put in the work they would then ask entertainers.

shyt I would have more respect if these kats asked black Cavs fans to stop supporting the team. Then stood outside the stadium and convinced the black fans not to come to the games. After they did that then they could focus on black Cavs workers to boycott work and then after that focus on Lebron boycotting games.

At least if they took that approach I would respect their decision to ask Lebron to sit out games.

The cold part about it is I bet this is what Bron actually thinks, but if he says that shyt he catches heat from all sides.

wow this is incredibly cowardly of lebron. like how the fukk don't he have all the facts :mindblown: so if lebron Jr got his brains blown out by the cops would he not have all the facts? :scust:

It is indeed a pretty weak and transparent comment. There is no way that he didn't have all the info if he was indeed seeking it, period. That shyt was eerily similar to the bullshyt Kobe was kicking last year and for comparable reasoning as well.

That said, people gotta stop with shyt like the bolded :snoop:. Of course he's gonna have a more vigilant response if something happened to his son. Who wouldn't? You respond the same way when something happens to a stranger as you do when something happens to a close family member?

Can't ask people to do things you're not willing to do yourself. So unless the people who make this hashtag aren't going to work until the officers are charged than they should shut the fukk up with this
I don't think LeBron should follow through with that bullshyt, but :dahell: you don't see the difference between LeBron power and a Mcdonald worker :dead:

Brolic... Alcoholics
athletes are athletes

don't know why so many people want an entertainer to be their social justice champion

childish as fukk

It's been witnessed before. Once upon a time wehad athletes who cared about the community and their status with the people more than they cared about their "brand"

back during a time when people didn't bullshyt on social media all day and call themselves "activists"...

athletes back then weren't millions of dollars removed from their situations and communities either. before the 90s, guys weren't getting paid like that. they couldn't afford to become jetsons - moving their entire families above it all. now they can

they are not the same

I'm sure Bron is more aware than he's letting on about Tamir Rice but, is either thinking about his brand/future or thinks that police shootings are a whole bigger issue than just him sititng out games. He maybe doesn't want to say that due to the shytstorm that would come his way saying that in my opinion :manny:.

This is what happens when one gives attention to other injustices, they want to make you into a freedom fighter without your permission. Once he donned that hood for Trayvon (which I thought was Lebron being an "of the moment" attention seeker), I knew he made a mistake. It's unfair to him, however, this is why he needs to stop straddling the line of serious social issues/injustices. Btw, those who are calling him out to sit are wrong and it'll prove nothing.

Sometimes we dont choose to be a leader for our people it chooses us . Lebron and other black/rich celebrities may not have had in mind to be a black political activist but they are in positions where they could make a difference and show solodarity with the struggles of his people .

But I know he wont do it cause he has a lot of white fans and they linen his pockets up . He has to have fukk you money and the way hes living I doubt he could afford it without white endorsements and contracts

Dog....the activists asking this of Lebron, while wrong, really put in work. Try looking them up without my help before slandering them.

They truly care and put in work

The whole strength of the Missouri movement was down to people working independent of the athletes and drawing attention to the story by their own sacrifice.

A Twitter poll is not the way to draw attention and is lame. But who knows if he didn't do work already. Idk

But as we see, so is Lebron/

I'm slandering them how?

This is silly. Why even focus on a basketball player :mjlol:

Its so childish. Is LBJ gonna run for office? Fix it so prosecutors can't run this grand jury bullshyt anymore?

I'm just :mindblown: to the whole situation
