an imam at a mosque doesnt have the authority to offer anything outside of his own opinion.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks, what matters is what the Quran and Hadith say. And its clear that its strictly and repeatedly forbidden for a sunni muslim to accuse anyone (not limited to Shias) of being a non muslim

The annual risk of terrorism is one in 3.5 million. Americans were more likely to die in an accident involving a bathtub (one in 950,000), a home appliance (one in 1.5 million), a deer (one in two million) or on a commercial airliner (one in 2.9 million)

The media wants its viewers to feel threatened and afraid because it increases viewership. They broadcast attacks like this because they know that millions of people will tune in for hours as the news "uncovers" details of the incident, which is a huge ratings bump for the media corporations. Turn on any news channel right now, doesnt matter which side they lean politically, both democrat leaning and republican leaning news channels will be covering this in depth with their own spin. Every news website will have this incident on the front page. Why is this incident considered such urgent news that it takes over the news cycle? despite it (thankfully) resulting in only 1 death, the attacker.

That's what an Imam should be in practice but nowadays Mosques are being infiltrated by Radical Jihadist preachers trying to brainwash the masses. There is no "jihad" to fight for if your fam are not in danger of being killed. The whole idea of jihad is to discourage cowardice like these people who film a massacre of kids and don't do anything about it.

All that statistic told me is that fear of Muslims may be overblown, not unfounded.

Islam has presented itself as a problem in the rest of the world, Africa with the Biko Haram, North-South Sudanese conflict.

Not that I care, in fact it entertains me that Even in Europe, Muslims are going around conflicting with other established cultures, raping women, axe attacks, France, Germany Belgium (fukk them though) terrorist attacks.

Only reason this isn't happening in Italy, Spain and Portugal is because of the strong Catholic presence where Islam doesn't fly.

Wouldn't you say that it's been proven that Muslim Culture is incompatible with this modern and ever evolving world?

theres no meetings or anything like that at the mosque

an imam is just the person that leads the prayer, anyone can lead a prayer if they know how to pray.

Imams are different than Priests


and i definitely dont consider myself liberal lmao, just clearing some misconceptions

Almost every Historian agrees that Muslim culture was directly responsible for the Renaissance and Enlightenment, which is what the Modern World emerged from :mjlol:

Without Muslim culture the "modern" world wouldn't exist. How would our world look without Algebra, or Algorithms?
