1. Predator
2. Die Hard
3. First Blood (Rambo)
4. The Raid
5. Dredd (Not the Stallone one. I was in the theatre on tilt watching this)
6. Skyfall
7. Kill Bill
8. Bourne Ultimatum
9. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
10. Matrix Reloaded (I think it's a better action movie than the first one).

Being straight up and down. I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get one of the Beverly Hills Cops in the top 10. Axel Foley was bout that action

I've seen Dredd get a lot of love here...I have to confess that I haven't seen it. Is it really great like that?

I went into the theatre expecting it to be a throw away ass movie. Absolutely everything is on point. The story. The direction. The action. The mood. The acting. The pace. They don't force no fake romantic shyt. They don't throw in random joking ass situations to lighten the mood. They don't hide from goriness, but it presented in a realistic not overtly gross way. They treat the whole movie like it's everyday shyt rather than some extra crazy circumstances (alien invasion type stuff). Find that shyt on bluray, get some drank and enjoy.

I may be in the minority, but I think the opening chase from Quantum Of Solace is actually better. Mostly because of the fight on the scaffolding :wow: status

And for you guys who love Casino Royale so much.....how do the poker scenes in the movie not offend every sense of logic you have? They are so exceptionally stupid that they will forever prevent me from calling it a great film.

I agree with you. Folks love them some Casino Royale. I think it's because they reigned in all that campy goofiness from the Brosnan films so it seemed better than it was. I didn't like Quantum on the first view, but on the rewatch I thought it was way better than CR. They should've kept the whole spectre vibe going with Skyfall, but they went quasi-reboot.

Its great. I own it on 3d blu ray. Saw it in theatres in dbox 3d :wow:

Its a shame it flopped something serious. Karl urban and the director have been pushing hard for a sequel and it found new life on blu ray/dvd.

Top ten of all time though? Nah.

3. T2
4. Blade
5. Robocop
6. Commando
7. Hardboiled
8. Raid
9. Bourne Ultimatum (can't overstate what a game changer these films were, forced every action film from Bond to Taken to take fight scenes seriously)
10. Marked For Death

:salute:@ no one letting Expendables/ Jason Stantham movies see their lists
I wouldnt be mad at someone having a statham movie. But he doesnt have a certified classic. I loved crank and transporter though.

Surprised nobody other than me has mentioned heat. I guess you could say its not an action film exactly but the shootout/hiest scene is an all time great.

Surprised no fast and furious love. Ff5 and 6 are classics for me.

I don't think I can put comic book movies on my list either.....no question it's a separate genre at this point.

I need to rewatch some classics from the 80s that I haven't seen in close to 15 years.....Predator, Commando.....etc......

It's going to be a fun week at least :russ:

From the first chase scene I was done. I got a soft spot for realism. I understand most action movies always gotta have a bit of magic to make sure the hero makes it through, but Dredd hid that magic well. I can't think of too many action movies where I didn't do the :shaq2: at least once and Dredd is on that short list. I consider the whole Fast and Furious franchise comedy not action.
