Marcos fought in that fight like he was possessed. Of course, a better camp could have helped but enough to stop the knockdowns or change the outcome of the fight? He still had AB by 16-18 pounds after rehydration though and he, at the time, didn't show any skill on being able to skill in keeping Maidana off of him for any significant length of time. That said, he could have laid down and rolled over. Broner didn't do that, he's not cut from that kind of cloth so for all the talk the Garcias are talking about KOs, it ain't going to happen.

No one was saying that.
Maidana was coming off of 3 impressive KO wins of decent talent. Hell Golden Boy had this fight initially scheduled to be the main event of a PPV if I am remembering correctly before they moved it to headline the end of the year Showtime event they were putting on as a "fukk you" to HBO.
Broner was most people's pick to win but he was already getting the rep for being distracted in training camp and not taking the sport as seriously as he should and there was nothing about Maidana's awkward style or punching power that said he was
made for Broner especially when you consider that Maidana was going to be Broner's toughest opponent up to that point while also being only his 2nd fight at welterweight too.

Chino was the 2nd fiddle behind Matthysse...At that time Matthysse was getting all the love N Hype

AB did a who I should fight next poll N the fans chose Matthysse

Chino wasn't a cherry pick but there were boxing fans/haters that were being unrealistic N wanting AB v Matthysse...knowing god damn well Matthysse was 140 N on a collusion course with Swift
