Both times he lost his belt is because of his weight.

He lost his 126 belt on the scales and gave up his 130 belt because he couldn't make weight no more.

With Marcos I think broner underestimated him, people forget but everyone was saying broner was CHERRY PICKING Marcos and that Marcos was MADE for broner, I remember it well. (Probably didn't take the camp that serious).So if broner would have taken that fight more serious like he's taking it now it could have been closer.

I expect broner to look very good.

How could people say he was cherry picked, when the fans picked Maidana as #2 option behind Matthysse (who was at 140 while Broner was at 147):


The fans have spoken and they want Broner to face hard-punching No. 1 junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse next, according to a RingTV.com poll.

Matthysse (34-2, 32 knockouts), who is coming off an impressive third-round stoppage of IBF 140-pound titleholder Lamont Peterson last month, garnered 45.2 percent of more than 10,000 votes.

The Argentine’s countryman and fellow power puncher, Marcos Maidana, was the runner up with 27.1 percent of the votes. Maidana (34-3, 31 KOs), a former junior welterweight contender who now campaigns at welterweight, is coming off an exciting sixth-round stoppage of Josesito Lopez earlier this month.

Who forgets that doc? He lost his title on the scales, and was on a HBO 2 days puking and passing out before he made weight. Don't think the weight will be an issue at all.

Under estimated? Did you watch the fight? He got faked out by trying to parry jabs to the body, and got caught with the same left hook twice.

Ya I know but I don't think he took Marcos that serious, could it have changed the outcome of the fight if he did? Who knows, possibly, possibly not.
