"Abbott Elementary" TV comedy about a Philly public school

Can't front, I at the end with the bet reveal. This ep wasnt that funny to me. But I don't expect every episode to be.. And those roasting jokes were corny.

didn't see this thread, happy this show is being well-received, i started watching it randomly since Hulu suggested it and am really liking it. def enjoy the balance of real issues being faced by public schools + comedy fukkery.

the other show Hulu suggested that I'm not feeling is Grand Crew

The writing on this show is so smart and the cast chemistry just flows. She’ll always be Chessy to me, but Melissa meant no ill-will in this episode. She actually is more experienced at her job, Janine shouldn’t be taking that as a dig. It was fun to see both of them strategizing.

I’m really trying to hold out to see if Grand Crew gets better but man it’s hard. I like 2 of the 5 cast members (Anthony and Sherm) and they get featured the least.

I like how the show’s social Media is highlighting a lot of teacher’s Amazon wishlists and signal boosting them. also they have mad advertisements on the back of school buses in Philadelphia, which I thought was a decent touch.

On God, this is the truth: our schools send out their teachers' wish lists for Valentine's Day and Teacher Appreciation Week, and they are on their profiles on the web site. All the teachers hate it, too. My mom left hers blank. (I'm a specialist so I don't have a classroom roster.)

EDIT: Correction: Ma Dukes got some stuff on that list after all. Quite the turnaround from Christmas. Either the admin got on her ass (possible) or she finally got sick of spending her paycheck on work supplies (also possible).
