His resume is in the same tier as them.

Being 290 at his height gives him leverage and compact strength. He'd be fine 30 years ago.
Which is why I said I'm not sure if he makes the Hall. Cause if he does then they should to and Chris Jones is still in his prime to add to his resume.

Randy White and Dan Hampton are the two All-Decade NFL DT's from the 80's.

They both weighed 260 lbs, like Aaron Donald does. However, they're significantly weaker and less explosive because as they're taller, they're more frail and less dense.

The OL of those guys would get demolished by the current OL's. These cats today like Frank Ragnow, Jason Kelce, Ryan Kelly, Joe Thney, etc. would wall up on 80's DT's.

well, I don’t remember what weight Dan and Randy was when they was playing, but I do know that both were at least 4 inches taller than Aaron

and what makes you think the current OL would wall up DL from the 80s/90s ?

Because techniques change over time. A lot of o-lines went from big to more athletic for zone blocking.

A few inches taller, so most likely not as strong and 100% not as quick because of Aaron Donald's official combine times basically are dang near top 10 in every explosive metric, some 1-3.

If I'm a RB I don't want to run into a 6'1 285 lbs. DT head on vs a 6'4 260 lbs. DT.

Look at the size of current OL. They're enormous and athletic af. So many IOL are built like Larry Allen now. 90s tackles are tiny af compared to modern tackles.

If Suh played in the 80’s or 90’s, he would’ve been a HOF.
Prime Suh was a fukking problem

I am a Piffsburgh breh. My heart wants me to go for Mean Joe.

But

Donald was a nasty piece of work. Breh grew up the next town over from where I am from. He had no reason being that big and explosive.

10 seasons

ROY

4 DPOY

6 double digit sack season (which is unusual for a DT)

8 All Pro

10 Pro Bowls

And he retired at 32

what makes you think AD is stronger than both of them
now we all can assume AD is way more athletic and faster, but both came to the NFL before there was an official combine

and you do understand that RB back then were much bigger and stronger than the current RB’s - so I don’t get your point

Suh is a HOFer, imo

Playing in Detroit was a bad look. He didn't have a good supporting cast. If he had better pieces around him, he would've had more double digit sacks. He only did it one time which was his rookie year. And in 13 years he only got 3 all pros and 5 Pro Bowls.

And playing with 5 teams in his career is also not a good look.

Suh made five all pro teams

He should be in the HOF.

I only count first team. I would put him in based on talent alone. He was meant to play for Baltimore, Pittsburg, Philly or even the Colts.

Detroit, like other great players they drafted got wasted playing their :scust:

The went to Miami, another meh team.

If he does get in with will probably be on the 3rd or 4th time around at least. He had a bad rep when he came into the league too.
