Gotta admit they almost lost me with the beginning of the film. I feel like too much was going on for an intro. But overall it was a good watch.

Favorite scene is most definitely when the rocks are stuck in the nothing universe.

Favorite line was when alternate husband tells main Woman that she is amazing simply for being the absolute worst version of herself in the cosmos:mjlol:

Several people in my theater walked out before the movie was over (especially after the dildo and butt plug fight scenes)
When watching that scene live I got the vibe that that particular section was intended to be white humor. I didn't find it too amusing, but the vast majority of the American viewing audience is white, so they'll probably eat it up.:dame:

I watched it in majority white theater and they were cracking up like it was the 2nd coming of Richard prior.:francis:

Also, between this and Turning Red we've had two major movies in the last few months with Asian leads where the family structure is overbearing mother, distant daughter, grandparent who pushes the mother away, and a docile father.

I wonder if there's an Asian version of The Coli somewhere where dudes complain about the portrayals of Asian men in these movies. :lolbron:
Asianmasculinity subreddit is good for these types of discussions

Jesus, this film is so high concept, I'm surprised they gave it the greenlight. The creators must have had a lot of trust that the audience could buy and follow the plot.

That being said, this movie checked all my boxes..... a little too well. Its like they designed this movie just so I would like it. I'm only saying this since I've been writing a story like this for the last few years.... almost all the same plot points...right down to the main character's unique skilll in all the known universes is that they are a failure. I realized what was happening at the beginning of the final donut fight.

shyt is spooky :lupe: . I think I'm being watched......I don't liked being manipulated into liking things.... the perfect film doesn't exist. 4/10, I liked the camera work, costume design and the daughter's acting. And a point for practically giving crash course on absurdist philosophy and shytting on our modern obsession with edgelord nihilism. I may sue though.
