This is stupid. How do you not expect him to be raw? He’s basically a straight out of high school center. If the coaching staff and the front office are seriously shocked about this they did a lazy ass job scouting.

I'd say it's more about his innate understanding of the game; he just doesn't get it. Even if he played an entire season of college ball, he'd still be that same player. Myers and co fell in love with his size and overlooked all the other red flags. Kerr would be seeing his progress, or lack thereof, every day at training, and I'm sure he'd be able to identify whether or not Wiseman is capable of figuring shyt out, which it doesn't sound like he was.
How to set screens, where to be on defensive rotations, identifying when/where to pass and shoot should just come naturally. It's why someone like JaVale does the same boneheaded shyt he's always done, because that's just who he is.
It was a monumental mistake drafting him, but here's hoping they can salvage something out of it heading into next season.
