Friedell was on Lowe's podcast and they talked for a while about how Draymond's killing their offense and spacing. Adding Wiseman and Looney next to Draymond makes it even worse so it makes running a bunch of Steph pick and rolls difficult because nobody respects Draymond enough to stick by him. They have to explore trading him in the summer. Steph needs more firepower around him. He's already turning water into wine but they're doing him a tremendous disservice.

They also talked about Kerr saying he wasn't chasing wins this season (and his refusal to play Steph more in close games in the 4th) plus Draymond saying he wasn't motivated by the 7-10 play-in games and the effect that could have on the young guys on the roster.
There's absolutely no point trading Draymond unless they're going to get someone that is a younger version of him. Draymond's reluctance and inability to shoot does hinder the offense, but his playmaking, ability to run the offense, feed the hot-hand, familiarity with the system and the invaluable chemistry he has with Steph is virtually irreplaceable. Warriors do need more firepower, but not at the expense of trading Draymond, not unless it's for someone like Ben Simmons, who can be that type of player (do not take this as if I'm saying Draymond for Ben is a realistic trade scenario).

Again, another reason why it made no sense to draft Wiseman (I remember arguing with you about this too); drafting him went against everything about this squad. I seriously can't believe how many folks could not see all this shyt coming.

Draymond's atrocious offense negates everything he does on defense and then some. His absolute aversion to scoring just kills them. Wiseman hasn't worked out but it was worth the gamble, imo, because they DO need to replace Draymond. Kerr yo-yo'ing his minutes, putting him in and out of the starting lineup has not helped at all.

Aaron Gordon went for a pittance to Denver. GS should have been in on that. If Atlanta was shopping John Collins or is open to a sign and trade in the summer, GS needs to be in on that, especially if they can dump Draymond in the process. His albatross contract really hurts their flexibility. They should be doing everything in their power to put four offensive weapons around him in the starting lineup. If Klay returns with his shooting touch in tact, that's one, plus Wiggins has been pretty solid. That still leaves two slots they need to fill.

Off top, Toronto (Siakam), Minnesota (KAT, long shot but he needs a change of scenery), Detroit (Grant), and OKC (Horford) are probably the four most likely trade candidates if they can't get in on Collins.

The fact that Steph has been able to carry this roster to playoff contention is incredible. He's proving he's still the best player in the league, imo. :yeshrug:

Draymond's scoring is bad, but he brings many other things to the table on offense.

A lot of folks seem to forget the system wouldn't function the same without him. Steph has mentioned many a time that he always knows that Draymond will find him, even in spaces/situations where he normally wouldn't get the ball. Folks are far too blinded by their hate for him to see that. Trading him for Collins won't make the team better. You've to got remember here they need a like-for-like replacement; one who can immediately come in and fulfill the roles that Draymond has, particularly on defense, on top of being that playmaking anchor on the other end. Being the glue that holds everything together.

This current core's window is closing; they've got no time to waste on trying to shoehorn someone like Collins into that role.

Drafting Wiseman was one of the biggest blunders of the last 20 years. Anybody that thought he was going to replace Draymond had their head in the clouds. Him getting into foul trouble and have absolutely no feel for the game is the reason why his minutes are all over the place. It has nothing to do with Kerr; in fact, Kerr's the one that's put in a tough position of having to start him and give him decent minutes to get a return on Myers' investment.

That's such ridiculous hyperbole that your post isn't even worth responding to.
