I don’t want to hear that bullshyt bro.. Eric Spolstra had the head at 44-38 record in 2018 and made the playoffs.. That Heat roster was similar to this warriors roster.. Spolstra is just a better coach
Well, for starters, the Heat were/are in the Eastern conference, so I don't even see the sense in comparing the two.

Even despite how 3-pt orientated the league was back in 2017/18, it's risen another 16% since then, which to put into perspective, is the difference between 2013 and 2018. That's how much of an effect shooting and spacing has right now. It dictates winning more than anything else, and the Warriors have arguably the worst personnel to capitalise on that.

Look at the shooting on that Heat squad:

Ellington - 7.5 three-point attempts at 39%
Johnson - 4.5 three-point attempts at 36%
JRich - 4.1 three-point attempts at 38%
Dragic - 4.0 three-point attempts at 37%
Olynyk - 3.7 three-point attempts at 38%
Winslow - 1.9 three-point attempts at 39%.

You compare that to the Warriors shooting, and besides Steph, the next best shooters (volume/percentage) are:

Wiggins
Poole
Lee
Mulder
Mannion
Bazemore.

Wiggins isn't even a shooter like that; he's been hovering around the low-30s his entire career, but is currently shooting 40% from behind the arc this season, which can only be put down to the situations and spots this system maximizes his shooting ability. How many teams in the league have a Wiggins-type player as their second-best shooter? How many teams could have success on a regular basis with a Wiggins-type as their second-best shooter?

Then you take a look at the rest of that list - those muh'fukkas are lucky to be even in the league, let alone should be dependent on playing the minutes to allow this offense to function with the right amount of spacing/shooting.

That Heat squad had:

Dragic
Waiters
Whiteside (his last season as an impactful player)
JRich
T.Johnson
Olynyk
Ellington
J.Johnson
Winslow
Adebayo

They were one of the more well-rounded squads in the East that season. The only thing they truly lacked was an alpha scorer, which was exposed in the playoffs. But you can get away with not having one in the regular season simply by relying on depth, which the Warriors don't have.

I don’t think they obviously have the best roster to run Kerr’s scheme but I do think there’s some truth to this statement.

I don't even know what that nxgga Maples is even talking about.

Pop is/was one of the most stubborn coaches, and really one of a very few coaches who refused to adapt to the 3-pt state the league is in. He had one of the worst records in the league last season with a roster of: LMA, DeRozan, White, Forbes, Murray, Mills, Gay, KJ etc. In fact, their second unit was the reason why they even had any success, at all.

Their bench was the only non-playoff team to have a positive net-rating. Only a handful of teams were more productive than they were, and we're talking about 50+ win teams here, teams that were .700 and over, whereas the Spurs were only .45. That's how good their depth was last season. Whereas the Warriors don't have any depth to fall back on; that's what's killing them this season.

And beyond all that, even with the lack of talent/depth this team has, that could be somewhat mitigated if they had players that simply knew how to play the game. The Heat purposefully targets players that have high IQ and know how to play in a system. This Warriors squad is full of a bunch of dumbass muh'fukkas who can't even run the simplest of plays or carry out the simplest of duties without fukking shyt up.

Beyond Steph and Dray, none of these nxggas have ever been associated with winning basketball.

And y'all wonder why this team can't win on a regular basis....

BU-BU-BUT PLAY WISEMAN MORE MINUTES!

:damn:

I wanna slap so many of y'all nxggas in this thread for arguing with me over the last year about this shyt. Drafting Wiseman may have just single-handedly killed off any chance this core has at competing for a title ever again.

"You want to see proof that Kerr is being put in a fukked up situation? The Warriors starting lineup has a -13 net rating, an offense scoring like a bottom-tier 70s basketball team, and Kerr still can't bench anybody because the FO doesn't want to look stupid. Do you think Kerr could bench Oubre if he wanted? Lacob is paying $60M in luxury tax for the guy. The FO is demanding he start Wiseman. The easy solution to become a respectable basketball team overnight would be to build lineups around Steph, Dray, Wiggs that don't involve Wiseman or Oubre. But Kerr can't do that because those were Myers two big offseason moves."

I hope y'all nxggas read this too before trying to blame Kerr for all this shyt.

Kerr is a good coach when he has talent and smart vets. He has not shown any ability to develop young players. This is what we need at this point. I’ll admit Myers has done a shytty job at constructing the roster but Kerr has done a shytty job at developing players too. Both are at fault.

what young players do you think he's failed to develop, and how?

i see this point very often on warriors twitter, but not the examples of where he's gone wrong.
