I'm a proud member of #WigginsHive and I think he's gonna have a an amazing year next year and people gonna be talking about how stacked the Warriors are again
The reason I believe in him so much is because I objectively look at the situation he was in and see where shyt went south. The wolves were a exciting developing team with Lavine, Wiggins, and KAT and they rushed the process by turning the team into the Bulls West. They took the ball out of Wiggins hands and forced him to be more of an off ball spacer because the only player on the team who could really shoot was KAT and Jimmy is ball dominant. He went from looking like a young T-Mac in the making to being the 3rd option on a team not suited for his skillset. He still avg just about 18ppg as the 3rd option and to me that's what makes me hopeful.
He'll never be KD but we don't need that. We need a legit 3rd option who can create his own shot and put pressure on the defense by attacking the rim. We won 73 games with Harrison Barnes avg 12 ppg and Iggy avg 7 off the bench. We'll have more than enough offense next year even with a declining Draymond. The issue will be defense and who we get to supplement Wiggins on the wing.
The way I'm choosing to look at it is think of the Celtics. They won the equivalent of 50+ games this year and had the 4th best offense and defense in the league. Why can't that be us next year?
Steph>Tatum
Klay>Kemba
Wiggins=Brown ?
Draymond=Smart
We don't have a Hayward but in some ways I think that's a blessing. Too many cooks can fukk with chemistry. Even still we could probably add a player who could mildly approximate his impact.
The people sleeping on us are in for a rude awakening
