Absolutely. Rockets have one of the highest payrolls in the league and have nothing to show for it. Their owner was pissed they lost last year so I can't imagine how mad he is after trading for Russ and Covington just to lose in the second round again. Covington might be available for a 2nd just for cap relief.

I was listening to a podcast with the scout from the athletic Sam Vecenie and he said Wiseman's floor is DeAndre Jordan and his ceiling is basically a more athletic and dominant Myles Turner. Said he'll be a 17/11 guy in a couple years easy and top 5 interior defender if developed right.
They traded a first to get RoCo and he's on an inexpensive deal relative to his talent. They'd want a first at minimum and teams would offer it, especially from this draft.

House for a couple of 2's? Not impossible. RoCo is someone you can't get unless you're dealing a 2021 first.

I disagree. Especially if your dealing a 2nd in lets say next years draft. Also whose in the position to actually take on his contract while needing him? There aren't alot of team that can eat salary that will want him so they can win and that would be the purpose of the Warriors trading for him, cap relief for Houston. Houston being desperate and giving up a 1st don't mean other teams are.:mjlol:

He gets $12-13 mil a year. He’s underpaid. I could see if he was grossly overpaid but undervalued deals will always net a good return. He wouldn’t even the first Rocket you move for that purpose first. Eric Gordon would be the guy who gets moved because that’s longer money you’re getting rid of.

long story short, Houston can’t blow it up because OKC would profit the most off of it.

Id give up our 2 second rounders this draft to get house coming off the bench tbh

This makes absolutely no sense. The owner has like 300+ million committed to Westbrook and Harden over the next 3 years and that's with no revenue coming from tickets and he just took out a loan on this team. If he don't believe they can win as currently constructed, which he probably does, then he's going to blow it up period. Eric will be moved if someone will take his contract because it's horrible and he's always injured. PJ has one year left on his contract, RoCo is a good player but he only played 20 something games for them and shot 31 percent from 3 while there. He has alot of value to very few teams right now.

You saying "12-13 mil a year" like that's not a lot of money when you're paying into the luxury tax which the Rockets are lol. They're fukked regardless because of that CP3 contract and the Westbrook trade.

The picture you painted makes it more likely that he’ll sell the team rather than blow it up. If they had picks to use going forward, trading everyone would look like a decent plan, but blowing it up without your picks all but guarantees that fans won’t back even after they’re allowed to do so.

Either way as it relates to the Dubs they don’t have expirings to match up with him and would get outbid anyway. He carries more value than you think.

the more i think about it,, the more i think we need to draft wiseman. Our starting 5 will be complete. And it would be a solid starting 5. it's just a matter of using our resources to fill out the bench.

Starting lineup
PG - steph
SG - Klay
SF - Wiggins
PF - Draymond
C - Wiseman

Bench
PG - DJ Augustin or Jeff Teague (?)/ Jordan Poole/Ky Bowman (might have to drop Ky)
SG - Justin Holiday/ Damion Lee/Michael Mulder
SF - Justin Holiday (if he doesnt play 2 guard) /Danuel House Jr (maybe trade our 2 2nd rounders this draft + cash considerations)/ Jonathon Simmons/Juan Toscano Anderson (might have to drop Juan)
PF - Paschall
C - Looney/Chriss (Both can play PF, but they cant shoot, and /are better suited as Centers. Chriss is having somewhat of a revival as a Center. Looney has been great for us playing the 5.)

we will need 1 more PF, but the roster would be solid.

this roster gives us the ability to play big and go small if needed.

I think a roster like that gets the warriors to the finals

They do need a solid vet tho
