Watching the Heat I firmly believe we'll be in the Finals next year:wow:

Get a big athletic center to deal with AD, add a player like Josh Richardson or Covington, and couple wing defenders and a backup PG for Steph and it's curtains.:banderas:

I don't think they need a vet big man either anymore because look at Bam. He was drafted in 2017. Chriss was drafted in 2016. Outside of being a little bigger and stronger and being a little better of a passer I don't know what Bam does vastly better than Chriss. Quese only 16 days older too. He was a baby when he came into the league.

Look at their per 36 min stats when compared:

Bam:

2017-18: 12.6ppg/10rpg/2.7apg/1.1 blocks
2018-19: 13.7ppg/11.2rpg/3.5apg/1.2 blocks
2019-20: 17.1ppg/10.9rpg/5.5apg/1.4 blocks

Chriss:

2016-17: 15.6ppg/7.2rpg/1.2apg/1.4 blocks
2017-18: 13.1ppg/9.3rpg/2apg/1.7 blocks
2018-19: 13.1ppg/10.2rpg/1.2apg/0.8 blocks
2019-20: 16.5ppg/11rpg/3.4apg/1.9 blocks

He adds some muscle and gets better switching and he could easily play in the closing lineup.

Also with Marc Gasol saying he wants to play in Spain next year the options for the MLE aren't amazing.

If you want PG play then maybe Teague or Augustin are in play.

If you want a combo wing then Evan Turner can probably be had. Could theoretically play a Livingston type role.

If you want wing defenders you gotta hope Jae Crowder don't go back to the Heat which is looking unlikely so the options are Harkless, Josh Jackson, GR III, Justin Holiday, Garrett Temple and Andre Roberson.

At center it's pretty much only Aaron Baynes I would pay the MLE for and even that's iffy.

Edit:

Theoretically I would fill out the roster like this:

Justin Holiday

Wiseman

Covington

MCW

GRIII

Im even more confident in our bounce back now that the bum ass Clippers got exposed

There aint no juggernauts in the league unless we make one

Draft Wiseman

Light the fire under Wiggins so he can give us 20/6/4 with good defense

Hope that Klay recover from his ACL

We Byke

:wow:
simple

give me 15 a game from wiggins and solid/engaged defense and I aint trippin
wiseman gotta be good for at least 12 a game as a 4th option

it seems so simple if Wiseman can be a good rim protector

Wiseman holds down the paint

that leaves draymond, Klay and Wiggins to protect the perimeter

The Spurs in the 2000s were an excellent defensive team because Timmy was great in the post, and they had capable defenders like Bowen to take care of the perimeter.

Wiggins NEEDS to take a leap. If we keep him he MUST be engaged on defense

Team defense is better than 1 on 1 defense. If the team can lock in as a whole, we are set

Paschall needs to be a better defender also. Just be PJ tucker

15 not go cut it

He is way too talented and will have way too much space to work with for 15 a game

I need good defense and 20/6/4 on 45/35/80 shooting to justify having him on the team

Absolutely. Rockets have one of the highest payrolls in the league and have nothing to show for it. Their owner was pissed they lost last year so I can't imagine how mad he is after trading for Russ and Covington just to lose in the second round again. Covington might be available for a 2nd just for cap relief.

I was listening to a podcast with the scout from the athletic Sam Vecenie and he said Wiseman's floor is DeAndre Jordan and his ceiling is basically a more athletic and dominant Myles Turner. Said he'll be a 17/11 guy in a couple years easy and top 5 interior defender if developed right.

He ain't never shooting 80 percent from the free throw line so get that out your mind right now lmao. Everything else is possible tho.
