Still no excuse , dude is universally played on the radio daily they have parents who grew up in that era that’s like not knowing one Mj song
Plus not everybody's parents listen to the same stuff

My folks didn't really listen to rap forreal

Mainly gospel. Only rappers I can think of my dad liking were dmx and ja rule. Mom liked heavy d and t.i. but that's pretty much it

And kids today damn sure don't listen to radio :mjlol:

Unless you count curated spotify playlists

Not really.

As kids we had radio and broadcast TV and parents playing music. We learned about past pop culture by being exposed to it.

Now people just look at what they want on the Internet with earphones. There is a lot less random exposure.
You don't walk into a store and hear music playing?

You don't hear the radio on an Uber or taxi?
