I'm 25 and my dad used to DJ but kept collecting records and I got into crate digging thru him

He "made" me listen to at least one random LP once a week with him as a kid

No one has to listen to different music if they don't want to, it really doesn't matter

No lie, my uncle was a big influence on my love for music. When I was young, dude seen what I was bumping (little to nothing lol) and just grabbed some random singles from LL Cool J, Wreck N Effect, and some other dude. He used to DJ as well and actually offered to sell his equipment to me (mans had the legit Audio Technicas and some reggae/slow jam jawns.

Sadly, he passed like a decade ago, and I often wonder if I would had cop those jawns, would it even matter to my passion for music. And then it dawned on me that it would have been a huge burden on my behalf, with the fact that I would be moving that year and been on my Southern flying saucer tour since then

That's why my musical taste is so out there, sometimes i would hear Nirvana, Smif n Wessun, Selena, Queen and a bunch of random CACs

Breh if you have seen the shyt I bump, it would make you believe that I'm an alien, instead of a koala. One minute, I'm bumping Kenny and the next I'm playing some obscure experimental vaporwave shyt. It just seems like folks nowadays are so stubborn with music because of a comfort zone type of experience, versus youngins trying to expand beyond the means. I was legit bumping hair band tunes in the 5th grade.

There used to be this dope ass radio station called 103 DRE, which played wild piff. I mean the alternative rock jawns. I would spin that station from here to kingdom come.
