And im not an Umar hater, i see him as my brother as we both or at least i would hope want to see a system of Justice globally. That said im not going to let my brother hustle me. i donated to hidden colors 4 because Tariq has a track record of delievering on promises with 1-3, and i like what he is doing and know he will put out a product, so i cant say he is hustling anyone unless he runs off with the money and HC4 never comes out. Umar on the other hand is asking you to help build something, which is cool, but its like going to a bank for help and they ask for your business plan and the only thing your business plan says is "i want this money to open a school the end", if that doesnt raise a red flag then i really feel sorry for you.

I said from day one Umar has zero business sense and his fans that see him as God tend to be those who are low in come and dont run businesses so dont understand when people ask how he actually plans to fund Running the place and not just buying land. Like polight said and i have said, Umar would be better off buying a small store front type location and starting small, dude wants to buy a college campus and cant even tell you how he plans to keep the lights on let alone pay teachers. This isnt something like donating to Hidden Colors where you are donating and will get a one time tangible result, this is about building a entity that has operational cost. Many people donate just to show respect and because giving 100 bucks aint gonna kill nobody or your pockets, but these folks on that delousional stuff are idiots, if he is having a hard time BUYING the LAND, Imagine hownits going to be keeping the lights on and paying people on top of building infrastructure to ensure the kids will have a state of the art education, hell he could at least say kids will pay tuition or something, but we dont even hear that.

He should at least have a website where we can print out his business plan and validate his incorporation or tax exempt status...

When he said he didn't want any government\grant\tax money I was like...... right out the gate.... Its absurdly difficult to start a private school and I assumed that the kids would have to pay tuition, but like you stated, Umar hasn't even mentioned anything about that.... His entire approach to this is see through... at least introduce your lawyer that is handling all of the potential legalities that come with starting a school......

Right. The guy is a fukking narcissist and a con man. You start out small to prove your concept and control your cost. Then you build experience and momentum by iterating from there. Yup, start with say a group of 6th graders, maybe 20 max, lease a building in the hood which would be cheap and be in the location that needs help most, purchase 20 ipads for students to use for books, or 20 computers one for each student, etc, all this could be realistically done with the money he has already raised. He could teach himself or even hire 2-3 retired teachers down for the cause and give them a 500-1k stipend just for helping. Even then he would need some source of revenue to keep lights on , so 20 kids at 300 a month for tuition would be 72k a yr which could keep lights on.
