Yeah...garvey had something to show for his donations - he created the black star line , a shipping company used to transport the African global economy in where he hired people from his own community. It is also safe to note that he founded many other enterprises as well. But i when I researched him , I could find nothing major or scandalous other thank an supposed accusation of mail fraud.


"Doctor" umar is an completely different story all together. For one, he has no proof to support his claim of being an doctor - Even his own website omits any information regarding his credentials. When asked about this, he clams up and changes the subject entirely. every professional willingly would show off their creds as a badge of honor, yet we do not see even where he got his undergrad degree on his website..

As to his imaginary school ; The donations that he got to fund have come up strangely unaccounted for - he could not even show up a blue print of an business plan showing how he would use the said donations ( I know that requesting a business plan is on the donors end of responsibility but you have to keep in mind that these people are uneducated and he took advantage of that) .

And every time that you do ask about the donations , he'll change the subject or call you an agent/blackfeminist.....And I don't want to even discus his homophobia and female bashing ( dude was an avid supporter of polygamy despite what state are community is in).........

I think he got it from the public, I also believe he got caught misusing funds multiple times, and would put hands on anyone who attempted to out him about it and even had someone killed over the same thing.



I don't believe Mr. Garvey showed anyone Blueprints for the Black Star Line before they donated, or a business plan. I think once upon a time people actually just stood together. Black people I mean. Garvey was waayyyyy worse than Umar if we going sin for sin. But he's still held in high regard because the movement is bigger than men.

If you knew about Umar' school project you would know he talked about getting people who could teach aviation and have boating courses to help kids get into international trade. There is no African centered school giving kids these kind of skills.

The schools need to do more than just teach math and science it needs to give the kids a skill they could instantly benefit from.

I am not an authority of the teachings of Umar Johnson, I've listened to a few of his speeches and really enjoyed his articulate view of certain matters. As a fellow black male I all too well understand the weakness of the flesh, hell I myself am on Briana Bette threads liking ALL of her half naked pics and protesting GOD BLESS BLACK WOMEN because I am an absolute sucker for beautiful, shapely black women


However, when you put yourself In a position to which this brother has, as a LEADER amongst our people. You are putting a target on your back, and you WILL face certain scrutiny, be it fair or not. Almost every prominent Black leader to follow MLK and Malcolm have faced some kind of scandal that has damaged their reputation and standing amongst the black community. It will ALWAYS be 2x harder for a black person (be they male or female) to speak a certain type of empowerment and knowledge amongst our people without having their own skeletons brought into the light, and that is because we've been so misled and purposefully taken advantage of by members of our OWN race for monetary advancement that it's almost impossible to give one of our own the "benefit of the doubt"

When you decide to become this type of leader, you HAVE to hold yourself to a higher standard.
