I personally wouldn’t do it, but not for the same reasons as OP. It’s for the same reason why I don’t have children with multiple women either.

I just can’t live being a free man not being under the same roof as my children. Second, what little time, energy or inheritance I can give them, they shouldn’t have to share with anyone. Step brothers and sisters and what not. No time for that type of drama.

1) I’m 31 with no kids or step kids. But if you’ve never mentored a child you won’t know the feeling. I still get texts and letters from my young boys I mentored in the C.A.R.E.S. Group I was in. Felt like it was more of a benefit to me than them.

2) A lot of these boys don’t have their bio fathers. If you provide a home for them, food for them, take care of their mother, teach them how to ride a bike, make sure their homework is done, and generally be a father figure for them and give them game you are 100% a father. Even if technically not their biologically father.

I did mentoring for 2 years in Compton for kids and I was proud that at least 2 of the kids finished high school and went out of state for college

The key thing if dating a mother with a child, u make sure that kid respects authority and on the right track.. u don’t want to fool around with a woman who son or daughter are in the streets and don’t value education… that tells u she’s a shytty mother and u should avoid her..

the girl I’m dating sister a single mom 46 and has a son 15 , is a shytty mom… she will dropped her son off over to his cousin house, while she go chilling in a hotel getting her guts rearrange by some random hookup she knows and even worse she’s in a relationship with a married man

Years ago the baby mamas I dealt with used to spend the child support they got on me.. buying me clothes and shoes in order to keep me around.. I eventually bounced on them off the fact they was trying to rush for marriage instead of just letting things work out
