There was a time when the post-ADWD release period was a fun time. Lots of theories, debates, and essays were coming out from the community plus every now and then you got a Winds sample chapter. I remember the first time I read the "who poisoned the locusts" essay, or the theories about the hooded man/Winterfell conspiracies, etc. That shyt was fascinating. I figured the book would take about 4 years to write since Martin had "solved" the knot issues that delayed Dance. But it never came, and my interest in theories and essays disappeared. Now I don't even think about this series.

When Winds comes out I'll read it and obsess over it I'm sure. And I bet it'll be great. But until then...who cares.

I fukking hate the Targs, but this book, at least listening to the book, I must say is fukking GREAT!! It's really written well. OFC I would prefer he was working on WOW, but I will admit, this is sparking my interests again in his abilities to write something I want to read. I was completely indifferent for a while there.
