It's a wonderful day! This is a few years late though. Shoulda been gone! Hopefully never have to hear "it would've been a good call if it worked" again.

One of the last things Pete Carroll did was straight up not block Micah Parsons on a play to decide the game and then try to explain how he meant to do that.

Never change Pete :wow:

:salute:
Definitely one of my favorite coaches, true goat. Dominated both CFB and NFL and didnt have to be a curmudgeon to do it. Many coaches cant say that.. :salute:

I mean he's 72, enjoy the rest of your life

This press conference definitely doesn’t across as being a mutual agreement, he’s trying not to break down.

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
The trend certainly appears that owners want to move away from old school, 'Defensive minded' coaches with hopes of finding the new offensive 'genius'.

But defenses ALWAYS catch up, and these up-and-coming offensive guru's will be left in the dust like Chip Kelly.

At his age and after being a coach for two plus decades straight he's probably just ready to enjoy more of his life and is tired of the day to day grind that most coaches put themselves through.

Always funny how they say this, the playoffs start and suddenly the determining factor is how much pressure you put on the QB, how much pressure you neutralize with your o-line, and your run game. They always act like defense and running backs aren't keys until January when it determines who wins/loses most years.
