The thing is...Superman wasn’t a bad movie
And I think it’s ok for superheroes to have different interpretations
Dude wasn’t ripping out people’s hearts
People are too strict with their idea of what a character is supposed to be
Had dummies saying the Fantastic Four needs a 60s aesthetic or should take place in the past before all the other heroes
Like that shyt is just window dressing
I don’t want shyt to end up like any of the FF movies but Superman was nowhere near that
People at this point are so used to Marvel movies and I would prefer movies that took a little risk but still kept to a majority of the source material
Agreed.
they saw what Marvel was doing and the suits tried to rush it which was stupidity. Snyder was building towards the Legion Of Doom. I'm still salty.
And cats need to stop acting like all MCU joints were good too.
Superman was a terrible movie.
No people aren't too strict with what a character is supposed to be, especially an iconic character. You don't pull a 180 on a defined classic character that people of multiple generations know like the back of their hand. You can change details, but the character must be maintained, that is the reason you are using the IP in the first place. Snyder and Nolan ignored this, Fiege being a true comic book fan did not allow that to happen under his watch, for the most part.
FF movies aren't a bar for anyone, so bringing it up means nothing and makes no argument at all.
DC's green lantern, MoS, BvS, these are the failures that destroyed the DCU and they need to be fixed.
They are fixed by embracing and being protective of the actual properties, WB didn't care.
Hopefully AT&T puts someone in charge of WB, or seperates DC Films outright so its is its own entity and places someone in charge who can do that.
Timm and Dini are the only ones with the track record I respect to say can pull it off right now.
Ppl don't relate to the DC superheros. So they don't give a damn about them.
Superman a clean-shaven white boy wit superpowers super strength. Every girl wants 2 bang em, every guy wants to be him. He has a nice daytime job and doesn't seem to have a struggle in the world.
Batman, a rich white boy wit good looks who every girl wants to bang and every guy wants to be him. With every toy in the world. Doesn't seem to have ne struggles in the world.
When compared to marvel. Yeah u got iron man a rich guy who girls wants to bang. But he has no true friends. Is a loaner deep down. Is a arrogant jerk every1 hates His company sells guns that kills innocent ppl.
Spider man, a scrawny white boy, wit no parents, has a crush on 1 girl who he knows is clearly outta his league but he does his everything to keep her and prove his worth. He barely has a job has 2 risk his life 2 take photos n gets yelled at every time by his boss. And as a superhero every1 thinks he's evil, especially his boss.
Don't even start wit da rest of avengers cpt America scrawny white boy again. Hulk a geek jus wants love from his woman. That he can never be with.
Yes they completely got Superman's character wrong. They didn’t do anything to damage Superman’s character
Now yes they fukked up Batman in BvS
Man of Steel was as good as every average Marvel movie that people slobber about, and better
REgular people shyt on DC movies when BvS barely broke 1 billion dollars, and Iron Man, Capt. America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other 2nd tier super heroes in comparison are clearing a billion easy.I still haven't heard a regular person in real life shyt on the DC movies. BvS and SS being hated by the general public is one of the most internet bubble things in last decade regarding movies. Yeah, they are nobody's fav. movie but so many people like them.
Yes they completely got Superman's character wrong.
Superman isn't a outsider who doesn't know his place.
He is a guy who is embraced and looks at himself as a regular man, who finds he has the ability to do things regular people couldn't imagine, but he is still a regular person.
The needless emotional change and emotion "struggle" of Superman, and the trying to portray him as a christ figure was detrimintal to the failure of MoS and Snyder's vision of superman. Superman purposely killing Zod was foolish. Hell having Zod be the first villian and not Lex or Brainiac was a misstep.
Everything he did was wrong with regard to Superman.
As for comparing everything to marvel, stop with the bullshyt.
DC has the most recognized comic book figures in the world. Marvel films aren't the bar DC fans ever limited ourselves too. We have decades upon decades of excellent DC stories, make a good movie, make a great universe.
What have we gotten, fukking Green Lantern, BvS, Justice League, and garbage like MoS. If we weren't getting that shyt, we were getting shyt like Superman Returns.
Guardians of the Galaxy, and other 2nd tier super heroes in comparison are clearing a billion easy.
REgular people shyt on DC movies when BvS barely broke 1 billion dollars, and Iron Man, Capt. America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other 2nd tier super heroes in comparison are clearing a billion easy.
Batman and Superman the most iconic comic heroes in the world are 2nd tier movie wise and that is a direct indictment on how the general public and audience feels about the movies.
