People are too strict with their idea of what a character is supposed to be

Had dummies saying the Fantastic Four needs a 60s aesthetic or should take place in the past before all the other heroes

I don’t want shyt to end up like any of the FF movies but Superman was nowhere near that

People at this point are so used to Marvel movies and I would prefer movies that took a little risk but still kept to a majority of the source material

Superman was a terrible movie.
No people aren't too strict with what a character is supposed to be, especially an iconic character. You don't pull a 180 on a defined classic character that people of multiple generations know like the back of their hand. You can change details, but the character must be maintained, that is the reason you are using the IP in the first place. Snyder and Nolan ignored this, Fiege being a true comic book fan did not allow that to happen under his watch, for the most part.

FF movies aren't a bar for anyone, so bringing it up means nothing and makes no argument at all.

DC's green lantern, MoS, BvS, these are the failures that destroyed the DCU and they need to be fixed.

They are fixed by embracing and being protective of the actual properties, WB didn't care.
Hopefully AT&T puts someone in charge of WB, or seperates DC Films outright so its is its own entity and places someone in charge who can do that.
Timm and Dini are the only ones with the track record I respect to say can pull it off right now.

I don't think one company is better than the other, the Avengers and the way everything tied in was done beautifully, we'll never see something like how they handled Infinity War and End Game again probably..

That said the individual Marvel movies.. some of them are very good, some of them are terrible. Same with DC. But then prior to that the Nolan trilogy was as perfect as you can get.

No, Whedon was, that whole post credit scene was a reshoot. Snyder planned to kill Lois then have Superman turn evil and take over the Earth like in the Nightmare scene from BvS. Flash would travel back in time to prevent that but Wonder Woman and Batman would end up dying by the end

I still haven't heard a regular person in real life shyt on the DC movies. BvS and SS being hated by the general public is one of the most internet bubble things in last decade regarding movies. Yeah, they are nobody's fav. movie but so many people like them.

Superman purposely killing Zod was foolish. Hell having Zod be the first villian and not Lex or Brainiac was a misstep.

DC has the most recognized comic book figures in the world. Marvel films aren't the bar DC fans ever limited ourselves too. We have decades upon decades of excellent DC stories, make a good movie, make a great universe.

REgular people shyt on DC movies when BvS barely broke 1 billion dollars, and Iron Man, Capt. America, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other 2nd tier super heroes in comparison are clearing a billion easy.

Batman and Superman the most iconic comic heroes in the world are 2nd tier movie wise and that is a direct indictment on how the general public and audience feels about the movies.
