the baby thing bothered me initially, but i got over it because it's human nature to reproduce and humans will do that under any and every circumstance.

The thing that I didn't get over is that it is a shytty film

Finally saw this.....interesting concept....I purposely avoided reading this thread until I watched. The little kid in the beginning was the part that engaged me to watch the movie.

Movie was overrated, it was cool, but not tense enough. And like all horror movies for me, there was a moment I lost my shyt laughing when it wasnt supposed to be funny

when the aliens legs/arms started to tremble and he crumpled onto the floor and started spazzing due to the high pitch sound don’t know how a cgi character can overact, but this alien thing hammed it up :biglol:

Anyway, decent debut from Jim, I always enjoy seeing comedic actors/actresses step out beyond their niche.

There's too many moments.

The fact that the weakness was high pitched frequency, yet the GOVT couldn't figure it out, makes the time watching this movie wasted, and downright insulting. Yes, we're supposed to suspend our belief when watching movies, but there's a line between disbelief and preposterous shyt.

That’s a weak complaint, who the fukk thinks of high pitched frequency as the way to combat/kill something? That’s sheer luck, or if you do get to that solution, it’s likely long after 15-16 months (which is where day 472 etc would land) of trying, especially given it probably took them a month or two to figure out not to make sound, then you need to meet/test strategies all over again...without making sound

as far as my opinion on the film, it was the best film of the year to me so far, yeah, I can't understand why the daughter did not tell the father that her hearing aid had subsonic capabilities that can stun the monsters. But that was my only issue, and it aint much.

She didn’t realize it, that’s why she turned it off in the car, it was hurting her to get the feedback, but then down in the basement she saw her father’s notes (what are the weaknesses), all the earpieces, and then it clicked as to what was happening to the monsters when she had her hearing aid on. How do ppl miss major nuance like this then have the nerve to complain about “plot holes” and logic gaps?


Edit: as I keep reading thru this thread and see the number of people who missed they have armor and that the sound opened their head/armor to be killed is astounding “why doesn’t the military just blast them”

Don’t be a dumb/half ass viewer and try to critique shyt..,and this is coming from someone who always multitasks when watching movies/tv. Even I was able to catch these details

No, it’s not weak. It’s a fact man can die from certain soundwaves, or become incapacitated. Why do you think we don’t like the annoying sound of speakers going wack? Some sounds aren’t meant to be heard.
