SD from 2002-2005 was Eddie, Rey, Angle, Lesnar, Taker, Benoit, Thuganomics Cena.

Raw was... Triple H feuding with old WCW guys.

SD in 2004 was pretty painful to watch, they got it back together in '05. I think of '04 and all I can envision is JBL's title reign, Mordecai, Kenzo Suzuki, Undertaker vs The Dudley Boyz main-eventing a PPV, Paul Bearer being "killed", shytty tag teams, Dawn Marie sexin' Torrie's father to death, blind Nidia, and Guerrero & Angle sadly having to be stuck on that show.

Triple H isn't a bad heel, nor Stephanie. The problem is they never fully build a face to take to them down and when someone does when it's never executed well enough you fully feel that they got what they deserved, so in way they still come out on top. Their egos and refusal to look weak seems to always get in way. It's bad entertainment. That's always been his problem.

He's put over plenty of guys. The two big mistakes when he was the top heel were booker and Goldberg. The issue is Vince keeps pushing who he wants and not wanting to change with the times. We had a decade of john cena overcoming the odds while changing into a full on corny ass Boy Scout as the OP described. I know a lot more people that tuned out because of him and JBL and anything kliq related. The disaster with punk strikes me more as a :flabbyvince: call given how little effort they put into him both during his SES run and keeping him on the undercard as champ even when la nariz wasn't on tv. As we've seen again and again, he didn't want a star he didn't make.

Yep, there was a good portion of SD in 2004 that was brutal. I want to say early 04 was good, but everything else was really bad.

The business is where it's at because of MMA (specifically UFC), the WWE's inability to create new stars (some of which is, admittedly, Hunter's fault), cord cutting (minor issue, but worth mentioning), and the oversaturation of their product.

This is a topic worth discussing minus the horrendous bait.

Started tuning out in 2000. Completely checked out after the Invasion angle. I had 0 interest in the new stars and I think thats the biggest reason. I remember seeing the Cena spinner belt and thinking how far wrestling has fallen. Occasionally out of the blue I would catch a tiny bit of Raw and was always some lame boring guy like Orton on the screen and I didnt give a fukk. I remember hearing about Rey winning the belt and thinking how dumb that is ( I love Rey but how is he a heavyweight champion?). Things just werent the same as when I was watching as a kid.
