I'm starting to have doubts. Why is he spending 4th of July in Canada if he's leaving? Plus his Uncle's birthday is tomorrow. They gonna spend it in Toronto?

Then again he could be packing his shyt, and is gonna get on a jet in the AM, and have it announced he's coming to the Lakers while he's in the air

As others have said i believe he is genuinely torn, and that is EXACTLY what the Lakers want right now because that means your front office formed like Voltron and made a great presentation, which seemed all but impossible a little more than a two months ago with the Magic/Pelinka/Jeanie drama brewing.

As has been reported, Lebron did his part. AD did his part. If it comes down to Lakers Vs Toronto you guys should be really proud of that, whether he signs or not. It's not that he chose another squad, it's that he hasn't chose. It would be irresponsible not to leave the slot open. If he stays in Toronto, at least the rest of the league and free agents could move on, including Lakers. But if he chooses the Lakers, years from now these 4-5 days of waiting won't even be remembered.

Ok the whole world knows you and the clippers are waiting on Kawhis decision but who are some of the guys you think you should sign to the exception and vet minimum deals to feel out your roster in the circumstances that Kawhi signs or he stays in Canada. You have to have your eyes on somebody or some agreements in place for either scenario looking at the remaining quality free agents.

I’ll keep saying it, if he went back I couldn’t blame him. I’ll still think it wasn’t a wise long term choice but it’s his choice to make. Lakers have everything and then some to offer, but we can’t offer the bonds forged over his year in Toronto. We can promise he’ll have that, but a promise is different than already having it.

In all that I still thinks he signs with us. Either way sign with us or resign he’ll be ok and so will we.

I definitely do think he’s torn. But I also think it has played into a perfect opportunity to generate free pub also. Does the Cali kid go home or does he continue to be the hero and face of Canadian basketball? It’s not just a difficult choice, but also two amazing narratives that his team can work with moving forward with his endorsements.

And like I said earlier, no matter what I’m genuinely proud of the whole Lakers for stepping up after having all that chaos that even had us thinking shyt was really over is beyond impressive and at least gives us as fans a bit of confidence moving forward.

You’re right too, the longer this last the more it bodes in our favor. Resigning with Toronto should’ve been a no brained because he’s been there and won already. The Lakers are earning that same trust in very quick fashion. Everything and anything that can be done has to continue to be done by whoever. We’re just as close to the finish line as the Raps are.

He will never surpass Kobe, Magic, Kareem, Shaq, Jerry West in Lakers lore, but he is already the Michael Jordan of Canada.
