I think you're jumping the gun when you say "Lebron is breaking down".... He slipped and pulled his groin. That's a freak injury, not him breaking down....Lebron's numbers were just as good post-injury as they were pre-injury despite not being in the best condition.

I really don’t think its about the publicity. As others have said i believe he is genuinely torn, and that is EXACTLY what the Lakers want right now because that means your front office formed like Voltron and made a great presentation, which seemed all but impossible a little more than a two months ago with the Magic/Pelinka/Jeanie drama brewing.
As has been reported, Lebron did his part. AD did his part. If it comes down to Lakers Vs Toronto you guys should be really proud of that, whether he signs or not. Like Shannon said, its UNHEARD of fora player coming fresh off a championship and with all the love the country has shown him, to simply walk away. Being King In The North HAS to have its temptations.
Honestly the longer it goes on, the better for LWO I believe. Lebron and AD can continue talking to him through backdoor channels and if his family is dead SET on Kawhi coming “home” you can’t ignore family

I definitely do think he’s torn. But I also think it has played into a perfect opportunity to generate free pub also. Does the Cali kid go home or does he continue to be the hero and face of Canadian basketball? It’s not just a difficult choice, but also two amazing narratives that his team can work with moving forward with his endorsements.
And like I said earlier, no matter what I’m genuinely proud of the whole Lakers for stepping up after having all that chaos that even had us thinking shyt was really over is beyond impressive and at least gives us as fans a bit of confidence moving forward.
You’re right too, the longer this last the more it bodes in our favor. Resigning with Toronto should’ve been a no brained because he’s been there and won already. The Lakers are earning that same trust in very quick fashion. Everything and anything that can be done has to continue to be done by whoever. We’re just as close to the finish line as the Raps are.
