We all loved the young core and got used to playing it safe but I’m sick of the losing. I respect putting all chips in the middle for Kawhi. Besides, we still have the same issue had we spread the money out. If Bron or AD go down we’ll be vulnerable imo.

Thats real talk and real shyt, respect the lakers for going all in and not settling for mediocrity, lebron and AD are still all nba superstar level type players and with role players are good enough to make the nba finals in my opinion. No way houston and cp3 or statbrook and paulgeorge are better than a fully healthy bron and AD with role players.
Exactly, the mission is Kawhi but if we miss out it’s not some doom and gloom scenario that people are making it seem. We have a rested LeBron and a hungry AD and still enough serviceable parts that are eager to come to the Lakers.
Signing with us is Kawhi’s best move short and long term but it’s up to him entirely. We’ve still got great odds no matter what.

I’m honestly drained by this shyt I’m dying for it to end. It’ll almost feel anti-climactic if he signed anywhere other than the Lakers or Raptors.

at this point am almost like fukk it and screw it, why the bs and the long drama and delay, make up your mind. If he stays in toronto that makes the path in the east harder for him due to sixers and bucks and easier for lakers in the west.

The fact that Kawhi is taking this long at least lets me know they are in it. With a superstar like that available you at least have to take the chance of signing him even if it means missing on other free agents. I said all along Kawhi or bust.
As far as available free agents left I'd want Jermychal Green, Kyle Korver, Iggy, Danny Green, KCP, Quinn Cook, Marcus Morris, Javale, Caruso off top.

I think he’s genuinely torn right now. High likelihood that Kawhi and LeBron were communicating before he got traded to the Raptors since his original request was to the Lakers, then added the clippers when Pop refused to deal with the Lakers.
He probably had it on his mind to leave the first chance he got but he went on to win a title with them and now he’s built bonds with a team, organization and city/country. That has to be tough to walk away from especially after they bend over backwards for a full year just to make you want to stay.
So I don’t think it’s drama at all. Just a really tough decision and thankfully the Lakers are one of those top choices.
Agreed, that’s why I haven’t really gotten discouraged during the process. Obviously the Lakers have provided the right presentation and there already was a good deal of interest on Kawhi’s side to join us. Kawhi is worth all this shyt for better or worse.
