Bron wasn't gonna come here if Jim Buss was still around. Kobe said it himself he talked to Bron about the Lakers even when Bron was still on the Cavs. Bron had LA in his sights but it wasn't a done deal until Kobe met with Jeanie and told her to fire Jim, and indicated to her that Bron wanted to come.

Y'all can keep denying Kobe's involvement but it's not gonna do any good. The problem is since Dr Buss died we've had various factions jockeying for power and Kobe is one of them. Jeanie is heavily influenced by guys like Kobe, Magic, Phil, her dad etc and it's been fukking with her decision making since the day Dr Buss died and she became in charge.

All I'm saying is Kobe isn't helping the situation even though he's not one of the main guys to blame.
Breh stop it. Kobe's made it clear that he wants to spend his retirement focused on raising his daughters and doing shyt other than basketball, if he really gave a fukk about having power in the organization then he would've took the job when he was offered.

With Kobe being the one who put it in Jeannie's head that she needed to get rid of Cokehead Jim, you really think she wouldn't offer him some type of role in the organization? :usure: There's a reason Kobe made it a point to make it clear that he had no interest in any front office role whatsoever immediately after Jim was fired.

All facts. nikkaz need to stop making excuses. The sensitivity is bordering on Bron stain status. Let’s just admit the truth, Kobe has his proxy in the organization vying for influence on his behalf. Imagine the optics if it was Kobe himself? He’d take an unnecessary hit on his rep after spending all that time cleaning it. Phil taught this nikka well. Only thing that’ll make this more wild is if Phil himself got in the mix.

We're a complete shytshow.

But Jeanie gotta clean house and that includes Great Value Rob Lowe Pelinka, Walton (because Bron don't respect dude), and get a non Lakers family GM and PBO.

Rob probably went crying to Jeanie when he found out Magic wanted to bush his ass and Walton and shyt.

Get this clown out of here.

BRING LOGO HOME!!!

He made it a point to say he wasn't interested because he knew the media would ask. Jeanie already confirmed the Kobe got Jim fired. So you just have to read between the lines breh. Kobe doesn't wanna work in the office, so he's just yielding his influence from afar. He recruited Bron first, that's a fact. Its not like Magic or Jeanie could talk to Bron when he was in Cleveland cuz of tampering. Kobe stepped into that role, and him not working for the Lakers gave him the flexibility to recruit Bron early. Magic was a no brainer cuz Jeanie loves him, and with Rob I dont really see how you can exclude Kobe from that. I doubt Jeanie loves Rob so much to force him upon Magic. Kobe was definitely planting the seeds about Rob.
