I really believed in this team breh. I believed we could upset the Warriors and everything. Smh....
This team was unfairly overrated to begin the season. Media does this all the time. They overrate a player or team, then when that player/team does not live up to that expectation, they crucify them. I knew at best the Lakers were a 7th or 8th seed and looking at a 1st round exit. And there was definetly a possibility they wouldn't see the playoffs. People like SAS said they were going to the Western Conference Finals???:wtf::dahell::what::beli:

Now this summer is probably the most crucial in Brons career and for the Lakers in a long while. If they don't get another superstar, next season could look very similar to this one, and I don't think there are any big name free agents summer 2020(except AD, but I'm thinking his fate will already have been decided). If nobody comes, the chatter of trading Bron will have MUCH more credibility.

Walton is certainly not blameless in the Lakers’ struggles. His lineups, rotations and responsibility for L.A.’s worrisome drop to No. 22 leaguewide in offensive efficiency have routinely been questioned. Management, furthermore, is said to be dismayed by Walton’s refusal to hire a seasoned former head coach as his top assistant — something young coaches (Walton is 38) frequently do.

Yet the public nature of the heat Walton took from his own front office made Johnson look impatient and, worse, ramped up the pressure on everyone in the Lakers’ locker room — especially the coach — before they even made it to Thanksgiving. With two years left on a five-year deal, Walton is widely expected to be shoved out of his toasty seat for good at season’s end.

I guess the FO knowing Luke not hiring good assistants is a good sign that they are not that stupid:heh:

This other report is from Peter Vescey so take it how you want to

He is say both Lakers and Doc Rivers have mutual interest..why would Doc coach the Lakers? He wants to coach for a popular franchise. I don't see this happening unless he is really interested in coaching for this type of franchise

There are reports that Doc Rivers and the Lakers have mutual interest in each other

With the season the clippers had versus expectations, especially post Tobias trade, I can't imagine doc switching locker rooms to jump into chaotic shyt... especially when it sounds like they might get kawhi

On a tangent, this entitled cave bytch upset that Kobe is in a women's March madness ad (possible of the Colorado allegations) pissed me the hell off

Kobe one of my goats, but that commerical wasn't a good idea, you know everytime he does something with woman involved they are going to bring up that case. It's unfair, but you know it's going to happen everytime. :francis:

He’s really just trying to help push their cause since he has 4 daughters, and one of them is apparently pretty good. He legit seems all in women’s basketball, especially at the grassroots level. My dad does security at gyms around the LA area and Kobe is out there with his daughters for AAU or w/e all the time. My dad says he is surprisingly normal acting and down to earth in person btw.

i said this many times in this thread...

if you know bball...you know its more than scoring.

always been...always will be.
People's opinions of Lonzo is a gauge to their basketball knowledge to me. It's one thing to point out his faults which are clearly evident. But when people say shyt like "he's a complete bust" or that he'll be out of the league soon they clearly don't know what the fukk they're talking about. He brings so much to the table but is lacking in the most easily observable areas which leads to people saying dumb shyt like that.

:ohlawd: We need material like this to reach the masses. Some of those stats were staggering.

7th in defense with Zo to 30th without him
1st in transition points with Zo, 27th without him

:wow:

Those two stats alone explain what’s been missing in the last few months. When Lebron was injured our issue was half court offense.
Replacing Lonzo with Rondo was always gonna be a recipe for disaster. Rondo might be the worst starting point guard in the league this season.
