A lot of degrees are a scam though. Completely useless but cost an arm and a leg. If you're going to rack up debt, go into a worthwhile field. STEM will have you ahead of most.

A Capitalistic society isn't about being the most skilled or the smartest, it's about finding a niche and running with the opportunity or inheriting it. I'm pretty sure the smartest people the planet Earth have to offer you all employed by other people.

She had a looooong rode to get there though.
And most of the roadblocks that she encountered on the way were from other black women already in the profession.
Explain what you mean by roadblocks encountered? Some times we really are out own worst enemy with the mentality of when we “make it” , becoming so concerned with holding on to it, failing to help other people level up or being cutthroat to maintain what we have. Another reason why i hate the higher education backlash within the black community. All over social media you got people telling kids to become entreprenuers or work in trades instead of going to school its disgusting.
Engineers, physicians, lawyers, finance wizards are all fields you need education for and are also the HIGHEST paying jobs in the world.

There’s a reason why people on the right are trying to nullify ethnic minorities from getting higher education and plotting ADOS against illegals/Mexicans.
Not everyone is going to be the next entrepreneur, not everyone has got the next big idea. I’d rather see 10 doctors/engineers/dentists over 1 entrepreneur

The same way not everyone can be the next entrepreneur is the same way everyone can't be a doctor or an engineer. School just isn't for some people.
I see nothing wrong with offering an alternative to someone who doesn't want to spend 4 to 8 extra years in school to make a living.
You're making it seem like just wanting to be a doctor/ lawyer/ engineer is enough to make it a reality. Some people don't have the work ethic, some don't have the time, and some just aren't smart enough to see it to completion.
That's why they're in the 1%
And the link between illegal immigrants and wage suppression has been proven so many times it's not worth getting into again.
A healthy middle class is the backbone of society and that can't exist with an endless supply of undocumented workers undercutting wages.

No no, it wasn't that narrative which I can agree with you - but historically this convo has come up numerous times before and people recommend tradework over college degrees straight up.
Again, undocumented workers are not going for college educated careers and they're fighting at the bottom on the barrel for a lot of these trade jobs that people are recommending
