Thats what i see is wrong with Russells game the most. The coaching staff obviously doesnt have trust in him and it shows on the court. Management probably made that pick and the coaches probably was leaning towards okafor. At least thats how it seems when the coach answer questions about russell in interviews. Its like byron always tries to downplay russell or something like its an ego thing for him.

Yea but it don't matter if they trust him or not, their not a contender for anything this year, I hate when teams that have no chance are stubborn and stick with the rotations that give them the best chance to win meaningless games, when playin your top pick will be better off for the future, and Scott better get with the program, Russell the player that was drafted, he'll be gone before Russell will

Oh i agree with you 100 percent. They draft him as the future of the team but limits his play at every chance. Like pulling him from the starting line up after a very minor injury in the preseason, til only playing him 15 minutes per in the preseason, to him having on of the lowest usage rates in the preseason, to questioning him starting the season publicly, to sitting him the whole 4th, to publicly saying that he was lazy on d. Its obvious that scott aint agree with that pick

The crazy thing is that he looked more poised than Clarkson did with the ball in his hands. Like the offense seemed to have a decent movement with him. He made a couple turnovers off forced passes (one that was a good pass that i think tariq black wasnt expecting ) but he got players shots in rhythm that they just didnt make. He simply gotta play better on defense tho but rubio just had one of those nights because he was still cookinf even when russell was out of the game.
