The Truth
Russell was one of theonly players who looked comfortable offensively. They got 2 many ball handlers. Russell needs to grow into running the offense but he needs to be the one running the offense. He didnt play in the fourth and they played the most stagnant and iso that they played all game. My only problem sith russell offensively is that he doesnt demand that the offense goes thru him and that he settles for the first shot he gets when getting the ball from a teammate which is usually just a set shot but hes a much better shooter off the dribble. Now defensive it was hard 2 judge him because he got in early foul trouble and he was playing tentative on d but you can tell it was to not pick up fouls and the defensive gameplan was horrible
They took him out because he was one of the main reasons why T-Wolves caught up

Scott said he was playing lazy and shyt. Offense wasn't going anywhere when he was on the floor

As soon as Clarkson subbed in they hit a jumper

But basically, Scott has no offensive strategy or half court game plan. They just obsessed with this showtime bullshyt. They weren't cutting, timing was completely off, etc..

Funny thing is, Scott's idea of punishment will probably be running drills instead of watching film and going over half court plays. Like these other young teams can't run either

We were having a good game and then the 2nd unit lost the lead, combined with Kobe taking some pretty bad shots in the end. And then you have Byron Scott bringing in Ryan Kelly to be the defensive stopper at the end. This roster is such a mess, one of the guys has to go..and it will probably be Nick Young but we kind of need his size.

Nah. They were up 7 when he left the game. He was in wuth the entire 2nd unit. He made some good reads and they missed shots. Im not going to say he played great but he wasnt the reason the started coming back.

Draft a PG #2 in the draft and don't let him run the offense, brehs, shyt dumb as fukk

Thats what i see is wrong with Russells game the most. The coaching staff obviously doesnt have trust in him and it shows on the court. Management probably made that pick and the coaches probably was leaning towards okafor. At least thats how it seems when the coach answer questions about russell in interviews. Its like byron always tries to downplay russell or something like its an ego thing for him.
