he's not from the midwest so he doesn't get it.

The midwest will be booming in a decade or two
Chicago is coming for number 2. And let a hurricane like Milton or Sandy hit NYC again.

Chicago is almost perfect geographically located and has all the nuts and bolts to really do it bigger than they are.

All the surrounding cities will get the residuals.

Gary, Indiana was founded by US Steel and named for the CEO at the time, whose first name was Gary, as a company town, like Nigeria.

It was never supposed to be a city.

When US Steel disappeared the smart people left with it.

This right here!!! I just moved back to Indy, bought a sheriff sale property back in September on the west side Gary which near East Chicago,

Already got 3 investors trying to pay double on the property but Miller Beach is pretty nice and Gary in 20 years will be gentrified to the heavens, nice proximity to the Dunes, New Buffalo, and Michigan (great bud after moving from Colorado).....

These dudes don’t know what they talking about. Just showing up making videos without knowing history.

He could have showed the bottom. There’s nice houses and CUSTOM built homes that line 15th. Not much there is empty. Whole neighborhoods of bi levels, tri levels. The streets suck, but the homeowners still take care of they shyt.

Could have went through Calumet Township. That’s Gary and the entire neighborhood is nice. What about a the borders of Merriville and Griffith? It’s all nice.

They never show around IU either. Almost all of that neighborhood has been well kept. From Ridge Road to 45th. That entire neighbor is nice. Tucked away from everything.

When me and my wife were looking to buy a home we looked back by Town & Country . There is a large subdivision back there tucked away. Big beautiful custom homes in a gated neighborhood. Older folks who take pride in their neighborhood. Even the surrounding blocks are nice. It looks like shyt further down tho:manny:

Gary has a lot of problems, but the last mayor, even tho he stole, :hubie: put them in a great position, and the current mayor, former state senator, is doing a great job. The state just moved to dissolve their school district tho:whoa:

If they get the Convention Center next to the Hardrock it’s will take the city to the next level.

IMO Gary needs to annex BlackOak and let Hammond incorporate it into the Hessville area.

They should also move away from affordable housing. They just announced they were going to build homes for people making $50,000. I get it, help the community, but you got folks going to Gary and Hammond spending $250,000-$350,000 on old shyt. They gonna spend that money on new shyt in Gary too.

Instead the people will continue to take the train from Gary to Chicago for work and eventually buy a house in another city.:francis:

Gary Indiana the most downtrodden area I’ve ever been in :hubie:

Youngstown Ohio and englewood on the south side of Chicago round out the top 3

Gary and Youngstown to be fair I was there several years ago , don’t know what they lookin like now but in the 90’s :scust:
WORSE my guy. My business makes me go through Gary quite often, and it's just a area of boarded up shyt, Zero lights on streets, just dilapidated. It's crazy because the areas surrounding it have structure. Seams like it's literally still late 90s in Gary with less stores.

That Said...ill be buying property there because it's cheap as fukk and I'ma hold on to that shyt until Miller Beach and surrounding areas it it up.

The fukk is an urban safari? Dude respectfully went there and asked local folks how they felt about living there. I never even heard of the place.
Michael Jackson is from there.... The ONLY reason I know Gary Indiana exists is because of MJ :russ:

Everytime I hear about Gary Indiana I understand why Joe Jackson beat those kids :ehh: Nikka wanted GTFO out of that shyt hole. He produced two GOAT tier musicians in Michael and Janet.

Yep!! I don't know that much about the area other than Hobart, Hammond/East Chicago, Merrillville, Dunes/Michigan City,

So many people from Chi are buying in the area, which got me interested,

What's tough on the affordable housing is the people that's in Gary can tell you all about the history, what made Gary "Gary" but not really investing in their hometown....

The downtown off Broadway I believe will be amazing once it's redeveloped....

Gary is prime real estate if they can get rid of the smell and contamination. White people would move back and start calling it chicago south in 10 yrs.
They're waiting for the mainstream to say the coast is clear once they've convinced as many black residents they can that the city is a lost cause like Detroit and leave. Then the developers will show up 10x harder than they are right now with new construction barely cheaper than the Chicago suburbs.

I was planning on buying a second, cheaper property in Georgia in a few years but with family in the Chicago/Milwaukee area and the writing already on the wall, Gary is starting to look like a better launchpad.

:whew:

where you from bruh, how you know so much about Gary and the region?

I grew up in GI, IU area to be exact.

Fun fact, before the great flight, blacks were confined/redlined to live north of I-94. when we started moving south, the flight continued to the suburbs, Gary declined rapidly because the jobs left first.. the flight continues as they build out Crown Point further.

I have hope in the current mayor, met him a couple times, good dude

fukk this whole genre and fukk that video

Cacs have been minting serious money taking other cacs on tours of the worst hoods..it's "poverty porn" :francis:
