sixers are in a better position than we have been 95 percent of the time since the new millennium bruhI literally don't care if no one said it, for the Knicks situation, the math in waiting on unproven players to pan out is still around 6 years. Unless we get lucky. And that's supposed to be a feasible plan? Oh and are the Sixers process done? Mission accomplished? I think not.
You're not reading....because nowhere in my post do I advocate throwing the farm at Bledsoe.
Maybe 6 years is a 3rd of the time you've spent as a Knick fan but I go back to 85. I've had 1 good season since 2000. I've had a child born since then that can't fathom why I'm a Knick fan. I feel like I deserve better as a fan than what I've been subjected to for over a decade.
the sixers are still rebuildinliterally no one said 6 years
not even the sixers rebuilding process took that long.
i feel like theres way too much hyperbole going on in this thread...not enough reading.
throwing the farm for bledsoe is a total knicks move from the last 18 years....which is why we aint never won shyt in that time period
and even if a rebuild was 6 years...thats 1/3rd of the time we spent fielding mediocre products to get washed up anyways
show me a team who won a championship without drafting and developing atleast 1 key cog of that team. a hall of fame caliber player.the sixers are still rebuildin
still waiting for someone to show me a example of a team losing every year on purpose leading to a championship
I understand since I was a kid that got used to watching winning basketball in NYC, but Bledsoe is not moving the needle especially with his injury history.Y'all got me fukked up with this 6 year plan before we are even competitive. Hoping Frank pans out in 3 years then hoping this summer's lotto pick does too in another 3? fukk that. I want to see my team compete and I want to see them play hard. I want to see a real coach on the sideline with a clue and his own philosophy. My life will still be complete if the Knicks don't win a chip during it. Get a watchable product in here. If they can get Bledsoe without sacrificing too much of their "precious youth" they should do it.
We need to suck and lose 60 this year and like a solid 45-50 next year and get a #1-3 pick and a top-5 pick in here to pair with what we have.
No more of this lets bring in scrappy fringe top-15 positional guys crap.
SUCK. Bottom out. Get good picks that you can either make or use as trade leverage but FFS stop trying to superglue a team together out of nothing because you need to fill the garden up every year.
We make more money than any other franchise on the continent, I'm pretty sure we'll be okay sucking for a few years.
Mavericks, Spurs, Warriors and Cavs were all lead to the championship by the players they drafted.the sixers are still rebuildin
still waiting for someone to show me a example of a team losing every year on purpose leading to a championship
literally all the teams you named...the best players were lottery picks drafted and developed by that franchise with the exception of the pistonsso you want to be the sacromento kings?
cause thats certainly not what golden state, miami, clevland, dallas, celtics lakers, detroit, or any other championship team in recent memory has done.
we have kpshow me a team who won a championship without drafting and developing atleast 1 key cog of that team. a hall of fame caliber player.
the sixers arent where they want to be as of yet because of health...but you're a god damn liar if you dont think they have a lot of talent.
the best way in acquiring the best talent and stockpiling the best talent is through the draft, relying on your scouts and hitting on your picks no matter where they land
you aint starting a championship core with free agency. not with trades.
ex: the warriors...before kd...all draft picks they landed with....even secound rounders....and did they trade klay thompson for kevin love right before they were on the cusp of greatness? nope. they stayed the course
Golden State lucked into an all-time great player cause the T-Wolves was dumb and we didn't wanna trade up for him. All of those teams won with the players they drafted except the Celtics who fukking fleeced two teams and we sure as shyt ain't gonna be doing thatso you want to be the sacromento kings?
cause thats certainly not what golden state, miami, clevland, dallas, celtics lakers, detroit, or any other championship team in recent memory has done.
those teams tanked??Mavericks, Spurs, Warriors and Cavs were all lead to the championship by the players they drafted.
we have kp
so whats next? lose more?
golden state got curry with the 7th pick
got klay 11
draymond second round
no tanking, no losing on purpose, just smart trades and smart draft picks
spurs found parker and ginobli in the second round LMAO
sixers have a lot of potential but potential doesnt win games
philly wont succeed with this dumb ass strategy
this "trust the process" shyt got me thinking losing on purpose is intelligent
you aint starting a championship core with free agency or trades?
where have you been the last decade
kp aint going no wherewe have kp

i asked you to name a team that lost on purpose for consecutive years in a row and was rewarded with a championshipliterally all the teams you named...the best players were lottery picks drafted and developed by that franchise with the exception of the pistons
chauncy billups was a top 3 pick tho
yal really wanna trot out a 35 win team to "compete" and get the 12th pick in the draft and hope we hit paydirt
