Mudiay sucks ass and that probably won't change, and Dotson will probably be nothing more than a 3 and D player at best, but it doesn't hurt to play them at least:manny: whether it's those two or Jack and Lee, the game is still ending in an L most likely, might as well take that 1% shot in Mudiay turning the corner.

Frank or Burke should start over Mudiay though, both are better players than him, and considering how raw Frank is, that's kind of sad.

Is it likely? Nah, way too much ground to cover. But when the alternative was Jarrett jack being ineffective and playing poor D. Might as well try the 21 yr old instead imo.

It’s a rebuild, using as many roster spots to get a look at as much youth as possible is way better to me than continuing to watch old dudes lose anyway. The new problem is that hornacek will play old dudes regardless.

The goal shouldn’t be for them all to hit, we know most of these young cats won’t. But findind an outlier is gonna work a lot better by trying out and giving real shots to as many of these kids as possible. I have zero hope for Kornet or Hicks but I’ll give them 500-1000 minutes to try and prove me wrong (at least until we can get better young prospects in their place), mainly because we’re gonna be bad anyway.
The alternative isnt jack
The alternative is starting the 19 year old we drafted
Horn will do management tells him to do. That was proven with Phil
This is an embarrassment from top to bottom

:skip: You dudes kill me the way you overrate young players on the rare occasions the Knicks actually have some.

I remember back in the Sohh days we had another young Frank at PG. Frank Williams was being touted as the Knicks PG of the future. He was outta the league shortly after his Knicks stint :pachaha:

I remember dudes acting like Landry Fields had next. :whoo:

Chasson Randle, a fan fav hasn't caught on anywhere. Langston Galloway...who he play for? I don't know if its the Pels or Pistons but he aint in the rotation. Untradeable Willy Hernangomez can't even get minutes with the Hornets. :skip:

I remember back in Ariza's rookie year Sohh Knick fans were claiming he was gonna be a star. I was greeted with the usual hostility when I said I didn't see star potential. He turned out to be exactly who I thought he'd be. A solid starter and rotational player.

Not developing Dotson ain't nothing to lose sleep over :comeon:
I agree. :mjlol:

Landry Fields was a big let down because he had that Brogdon-like rookie year where it looked like he could be a valuable rotational piece for a decade plus but it didn't work out that way.

I remember Knicks fans overrating the shyt out of Iman Shumpert. :mjlol:

Some of y'all killing y'all selves over a completely unproven Damyean Dotson who is about to turn 24 as a rookie. Dotson is nothing to worry about like that. It's tons of guys like him in the G-League, overseas, unsigned, in college right now. That raw shooter/athlete with 3&D potential that was overlooked and had a full collegiate career.

I honestly came into this season optimistic as fukk about our future. KP was ready to take the next step and he did, a young prospect like frank, even timmy on the team excited me, and I was banking on us sucking bad enough to get a top 5 pick and get another superstar to play along KP.

But with the season coming to an end, we look like we’re in worst shape than ever. And we probably have the worst future of any team in the East. We lost KP for a year and we have no idea how he’ll turn out when healthy (if ever), this shytty coaching staff not being able to develop Frank properly and now he looks more lost than ever. Timmy regressing as well, no more drafting a superstar potential player.

This franchise is truly cursed.

In an ideal world that’s the alternative. It wasn’t with jeff, Perry and mills running the ship. Even with mudiay struggling, Burke playing well and a lot of talk about youth; he’s talking about playing jack again. So in a normal franchise, yeah we had an alternative of frank but being real about what our situation was and is...mudiay or jack was the likely case and still is according to jeff.

I don't mind trading an expiring and a second for a young PG we can check out for a year and half. Especially not when the coach refuses to play Frank at PG for some reason.
No no no. Y'all need to stop being so optimistic, glass have full with this management. These are blatant fukk ups. McDermott was expiring and I rather take my chances with the 2nd round pick.

Nothing will change with Mudiay in a year and a half. We already had Trey Burke who was getting buckets at an elite level and Frank who is supposed to be the PG of the damn future. It makes zero sense to trade for Mudiay, that boy has a long way to go a lot wrong with him weak shooter, turnover prone, weak defender, poor feel for the position. We're talking about a guy who routinely logs more TO's than FG's made and sucks at defending the P&R despite + length. He is consistently talked about as one of the worst players at his position. Most teams wouldn't touch him but we just had to do it and create that log jam at PG for no damn reason.

Why shouldn't Dotson get minutes on a tanking team exactly?

Nowhere in my post did I say he shouldn't get minutes. I don't think anything about him warrants any outrage from fans when he doesn't. Just my opinion. This season is a wash and I barely watch NY anymore. I don't give a fukk who they play :yeshrug:

 Yeah I forgot about Shump

His rookie year I had hopes he could develop into a 14ppg scorer but when he hurt his knee that was a wrap.
