True, but what about Hardaway? :patrice::lupe::jbhmm:

Timmy Tank jokes aside, I'm pretty sure they didn't sign Tim to that 70 million dollar contract (:scust:) to be a 6th man....

Timmy is probably gonna get the bulk of minutes at sf now I think, he's better as a two but he does well enough as a sf to make it work. Regardless of his position though, the Knicks will have no choice but to make Timmy the sixth man if he keeps channeling the old JR Smith; breh's shot selection gives me some bad flashbacks :scust:

Man, if he was a good defender this could work, but he isn't. He's improved on the defensive end but he still leaves a lot to be desired, the match up on other end with him guarding opposing SF's would be very :sadcam: to see.

Lee has been out of position all year playing the 3 but since he's a good defender he can hold his own. The only other backcourt player on this entire roster that could play the 3 and not be completely over-matched most nights is Dotson but he barely gets any time at all :beli:

Timmy at the 3 is not something I look forward to or want to see...but given the current roster it may be the only thing that makes sense going forward. If you want to get the most out of Mudiay and Ntilikina, you start and play both of them together. They both did pretty well tonight when paired together.

Burke can be the back up lead guard/first guard off the bench. Even when he was a ballin out for a few games, given his diminutive stature, I always thought that was the role best suited for him, back up PG. Hopefully he can provide some quality minutes in this role.

I kinda view Kornet in the same light as Burke, not much of a sample size for him, but I can see him fitting in as a quality back up. He's slow, unathletic, flat-footed....but you can't teach height & he's young. He can block shots and hit 3s. Hope to see more of him down the stretch.

Not trading Lee or O'Quinn proving to be more :snoop: by the day.

To go over topics I'm reading here. Timmy as a sixth man isn't a bad thing. Done right he is a easy 6th man of the year candidate for the rest of his contract.

Knicks need a SF, but if they really about that 2019 wave. Then you got to add making a run at the top FA Giannis to that plan. In that case go best player available that could fit alongside both him and KP. Though I will keep it 100, Doncic, Porter, Both Bridges, and Knox should be the plan regardless if Giannis is the longterm goal.

For the Knicks if Porter is there or they win the lottery (lol) Doncic obviously you take them because they have superstar potential. However, Mikal Bridges is my odds on favorite if we get in the 5-8 range. Not the best shot creator but he reminds me of Otto Porter. A great piece that could come in and contribute quicker (which should be the goal if 2019 is the wave) and is a 2 way player out the gate.

Mudiay
Nitty
Mikal
KP
Kanter

Bench
Timmy
KOQ

That is a good look if our Back court can develop into starter quality players. That's not a bad squad to try and lure Giannis with. Especially if they can add another high level rookie.
